| Objective:This study was to formulate a acupuncture treatment plan with the theory of sancai. Then to provide new ideas for acupuncture in senile primary insomnia, through observing the clinical effect, advantages and disadvantages of Sancai acupoints combination, conventional acupoint selection and routine oral western medicine.Methods:90 subjects chose based on inclusion criteria was randomly divided into Sancai group,Routine group and Western medicine group,30 cases in every group. In the sancai group, the main acupuncture points was the followings:Sishencong and Shenting point correspongding to the points of”Heaven”,Sanyinjiao and Taixi point correspongding to the points of ”earth”,Daling and Shenmen point correspongding to the points of”Man”.And routine acupoints used in the Routine group. In addition to the main points, the two groups was given corresponding points according to the TCM symptoms of the patients.Kept the needle for 30 minutes after acupuncture, and made the needle run every 10 minutes. The treatment once a day, after 5 consecutive days of treatment with 2 days of cessation, which were treated as one course of treatment, there were four sessions in these two group. The western medicine group take 1 mg of eszolam tablets before going to bed every night, total treatment with 4 weeks. We observed the adverse reactions of the three groups, compared the changes of PSQI and FS-14 before and after treatment as well as 1 month follow-up and evaluated the clinical effect of Sancai acupoints combination in senile primary insomnia. Results : 1.In the Sancai group,3 cases were ineffective,7 cases were effective,10 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were cured, and the total effective rate was 88.88%.In the Routine group,6 cases were ineffective,15 cases were effective,3 cases were effective,3cases were cured, and the total effective rate was 77.77%.The Western medicine group,8 cases were ineffective,15 cases were effective,4 cases were markedly effective,2 cases were cured, the total effective rate was 72.41%.The clinical effect of Sancai acupoints combination method was the best compared with acupoints therapy and oral western medicine, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The PSQI scores of the three groups decreased in varying degrees after treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, the total score of PSQI in Sancai group was lower than that in Routine group and Western medicine group, and the difference was statistically significant. The results showed that the Sancai acupoints combination therapy was superior to the conventional acupoints therapy and oral western medicine in improving the sleep in the elderly patients.3.After treatment, the score of sleep quality and daytime dysfunction in the Sancai group was lower than that in the Western medicine group(P<0.05),which indicated that Sancai acupoints combination therapy had the advantage of improving sleep quality and daytime function compared with oral western medicine.4.After treatment and follow-up,the FS-14 scores of the Sancai group and the Routine group were lower than those of the Western medicine group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the Sancai group and the Routine group(P>0.05).The results showed that Sancai acupoints combination therapy and conventional acupoints therapy had the same effect on improving patients’ fatigue and were superior to oral western medicine.5.The adverse reactions in the Sancai group and Routine group were less than those in the Western medicine group, and the adverse reactions in the Western medicine group had an adverse effect on the daily life of the patients. Conclusions:Sancai acupoints combination has definite curative effect in senile primary insomnia. It has the synthetic action in improving patients’ sleep quality, reducing daytime dysfunction and improving patients’ daytime fatigue, and it has the advantage of fewer adverse reactions than oral western medicine,it worth using in clinic. |
