Clinical Observation Of Shugan Jieyu Capsule In Treating Liver Qi Stagnation Depression

Objective:The obeject is evaluate the therapeutic effect of Shugan Jieyu capsule on mild and moderate depression.In this paper,we discuss the efficacy of Shugan Jieyu capsule in the treatment of depression and explore its application prospects by observing the clinical efficacy of 119 cases of patients in depression.Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria of Western medicine to mild and moderate depression,we select 119 patients randomly from the second hospital of Da Lian medical university’s Chinese medicine out-patient,out-patient department of cardiology,department of cardiology ward,outpatient department of neurology,department of neurology,psychological counseling room and Da Lian hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine outpatient department of neurology and department of neurology ward during December 1,2015 to October 1,2017 as the objects of investigation.The patients were divided into three groups:Shugan Jieyu Capsule Group(Group 1),Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release Tablet(Group 2)and combination therapy group(Group 3)for 4 weeks clinical observation.The HAMD scale and TCM symptom score scale were respectively completed:before treatment,2 weeks after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment.Above all,one must be mentiond,we will pay close attention to the adverse reactions during the whole treatment,if it happened,the treatment would be terminated immediately.Result:1.There was no obviously difference among the three groups in baseline datasuch as age,sex and illness(P>0.05),suggesting that there was no comparability between three groups.2.The HAMD score of all the three groups decreased by treatment,therewas significant difference between each group and pre treatment group(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between group 1 and group 2(P>0.05),suggesting that,in the same duration of therapy,Shugan Jieyu capsule and Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet have the same curative effect in treating mild and moderate depression.But between group 1 and group3,group 2 and group 3,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that,in the same duration of therapy,Shugan Jieyu capsule is better than Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet.3.The TCM symptom scores of three groups decreased by treatment,and therewas significant difference between each group and pre treatment group(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between groups 1 and 2(P>0.05),suggesting that Shugan Jieyu capsule and Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet has the same curative effect in treating mild and moderate depression,but between group 1 and group 3,group 2 and group 3,the difference wasstatistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that in the same duration of therapy,the efficacy of Shugan Jieyu capsule is better than Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet.Conclusions:1.Shugan Jieyu capsule can alleviate symptoms of liver qi stagnation depression effectively,such as,upset,irritability,heart palpitations,chest tightness,chest pain,pain and other clinical symptoms.2.Combined with Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet,Shugan Jieyu capsule could play an enhancedeffect in treating mild and moderate liver qi stagnation depression.3.Shugan Jieyu capsule and Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet has its own advantages and disadvantage in treating depression,Shugan jieyu capsule is a mild medicine with mild effects and small side effects but its recent efficacy is less than combining the two drugs;from obversing the HAMD scale and the scores of TCM syndrome scale,the efficacy of Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet is better than Shugan Jieyu capsules,but statistically,there was no difference between them(P≥0.05).Comparing with Shugan Jieyu capsule,the sideeffects of Wenfaru Racin Sustained-release tablet were significant,such as fatigue,constipation,anorexia,dry mouth,dizziness and so on.
