| Objective To investigate the surgical treatment strategy and corresponding curative effect of nasal inverted papilloma(NIP).Method Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 181 patients with NIP treated from October 2010 to October 2016.Nasal endoscopy, pathology,CT or MRI examinations were used to determine the range of the disease, according to Krouse staging and comprehensive evaluation to develop surgical procedures..There were 124 cases of nasal endoscopy,27 cases of lateral nasal incision,30 cases of endoscopy combined with Caldwell-Luc operation, followed up for 1 to 6 years. Results The total recurrence rate was 17.7%(32/181)with NIP.The recurrence rate of nasal endoscopic surgery and lateral nasal incision and endoscopy combined with Caldwell-Luc operation were respectively 15.3%(19/124),25.9%(7/27)and 20%(6/30),there was no significant difference between the three groups(P > 0.05).The recurrence rate of patients with different stages were statistically analyzed, the recurrence rate of stage I,stage II,stage III and stage IV were respectively 11.8%(2/17),11.6%(8/69),17.2%(11/64)and 35.5%(11/31),the higher the stage, the higher the recurrence rate. There was statistically significant difference in the postoperative recurrence rate between the all stages(P< 0.05).Conclusion Nasal endoscopy has become the main treatment of NIP,and the curative effect is similar to external nose incision surgery. The higher the stage of NIP,the higher the postoperative recurrence rate is,and a reasonable choice of surgical resection of the tumor and strict follow-up is the key to its success. |
