Objective:To investigate the expression of integrin alpha 7(ITGA7)in human hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and explore the effect of knocking down ITGA7 on the proliferation and migration of HCC cell line. Methods:The expression of ITGA7 was detected in the tissues of HCC and corresponding neighboring normal tissues(56 samples),and its correlations with clinic pathological features were analyzed.Colony forming assay and scratch wound migration assay were used to explore the effect of knocking down ITGA7 on Hep3B proliferation and migration.Results:ITGA7 expression was increased in 58.92%(33/56)of the HCC samples compared with corresponding neighboring normal tissues.Moreover,ITGA7 expression was found to correlate with tumor size(χ~2=5.987,P=0.014)and tumor encapsulation(χ~2=9.402,P=0.0022).Knocking down ITGA7 inhibits the proliferation and migration of Hep3B cells. Conclusion:Upregulation of integrinα7 promotes proliferation and migration in hepatocellular carcinoma.
