Clinical Analysis Of Behavioral,Daily Life Ability And Psychological Symptoms In Alzheimer's Disease And Vascular Dementia

Background and Objective:Both Alzheimer's disease(Alzheimer 's diseases,AD)and Vascular dementia(Vascular dementia VD)are two popular kinds of dementia.They are not easily to identify between them in clinic.This study is to investigate patients with dementia from behavioral,daily life ability and psychological symptoms.Methods:160 elderly patients with dementia were selected in hospital from May 2011 to May 2017.80 patients were Alzheimer's disease as Alzheimer's disease group.80 patients were vascular dementia as vascular dementia group.Patients were assessed by scale of behavioral pathology in Alzheimer's diease(Behave-AD),Mini Mental State Examination scale(MMSE),the global deterioration scale(GDS)and Daily life ability scale(ADL).Behavioral,daily life ability and psychological symptoms were compared between two groups.Results:Incidence of paranoia and delusions;incidence of behavior disorders;incidence of aggressive behavior;incidence of anxiety and fear in AD group were significantly higher than VD group.Paranoia and delusions score;behavior disorder score;aggressive behavior score;anxiety and fear score in AD group were significantly higher than VD group.Differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Incidence of illusion in AD group was higher than VD group.Incidence of diurnal rhythm disorder;incidence of affective disorders in AD group were lower than VD group.Illusion score in AD group was higher than VD group.Diurnal rhythm disorder score;affective disorder score in AD group were lower than VD group.Differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).ADL scale score in AD group and in VD group was compared.Differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:Alzheimer's disease and Vascular dementia overall daily life ability is no difference,but paranoia and delusions;behavior disorders;aggressive behavior;anxiety and fear symptoms is serious in Alzheimer's disease patients with dementia.The mechanism may be related to exist in patients with AD more apparent amount-occipital lobe atrophy.
