| The dissertation is comprised of three chapters.Reported in chapter one was the phytochemical investigation of the roots and rhizomes of Nardostachys chinensis(Nardostachys,Valerianaceae);The second charpter described phytochemical investigation of the twigs and leaves of Viburnum cylindricum(Viburnum,Adoxaceae).40 Compounds including 4 new ones were isolated from the ethanol extract of the stems of Nardostachys chinensisand 24 including 3 new ones were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Viburnum cylindricumby a variety of chromatographic methods(siliga gel,sephadex LH-20,RP-18,MPLC and prep-HPLC),and their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic methods(UV,IR,MS,1D-and 2D-NMR).In the last chapter,we reviewed recent advances of aristolane sesquiterpenes.Chapter 1 Study on Chemical Constituents of Nardostachys chinensisN.chinensis is a perennial herbs belonging to the genus of Nardostachys,Valerianaceae family,the roots and rhizomes has been used as a Chinese Traditional Medicine.Phytochemcal investigations in literatures showed that N.chinensis is rich in a variety of types of sesquiterpenes.Chemical constituents studies of the ethanol exact of roots and rhizomes of N.chinensiswhich was purchased from Kunming Luo-Si-Wan medicine market,had led to the isolation of 40 compounds(including 4 new ones).All of the new structures are aritolane sesquiterpenes,including one aristalane-chalcone hybrid,one novel 8,9-seco aristalane,and two aritolone derivates.The known compounds cover a variety of structure types such astriterpenoids,diterpenoids,sesquiterpenoids,iridoids,flavanones,chalcones,and lignans.Chapter 2 Study on Chemical Constituents ofViburnum cylindricumThe plant V.cylindricum is an evergreen shrub,which belongs to the genus of Viburnum,Adoxaceae family.Components reported in literatures cover triterpenoids,diterpenoids,and iridoids et cl.One new hispanane-type diterpenoid glucoside and two new secoiridoid glucosides,together with 21 known compounds including some triterpenoids,diterpenoids,and iridoids were isolated and elucidated from the ethanol exact oftwigs and leaves of V.cylindricum.Chapter 3 Recent progress in aristolane sesquiterpenesIn this chapter,the recentprogressin the phytochemical research and bioactivities of aristolane sesquiterpenes were summarized,in order to provide guidance for research and development of aristolanes. |
