Along with the unceasing improvement and development of the information technology,Internet becomes more and more popular. The development of the Internet is not only a product of the rapid development of the city, the Internet is also gradually popularized in rural areas.Whether in the urban or rural areas, the development of the internet has penetrated into all aspects of our lives.Online game because of its own anonymity, virtuality, and athleticism,It’s attracted a lots of teenagers who are addicted to the online game and find it difficult to extricate themselves from it.Online game addiction has become a common phenomenon affecting individuals and society, especially for young students. With the development of rural networks, rural senior high school students are growing in special envirinmennt, their parent’s moving out for work. They grew up with grandparents or grandmothers. In other situations,They grew up with parents, but their parentas education is limited.Lack of skills to properly guide children. As a result, many rual teenagers are addicted to online games. With more and more negative case emergence caused by online games addiction, such as academic development and physical and mental health development, the issue of youth online game addiction has also gradually been a universal topic. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study online game addiction among rural senior high school students. The dual system theory refers to two different thinking systems of the human brain at the time of work. They are the impulse system(system 1)and the self-control system(system 2).High school students’ online game addiction is caused by the imbalance of the two thinking systems in the human brain. The impulse system mainly responds to emotional information, rewards, and stimulus, and the control system is the main executor of emotional management and decision making. Therefore, based on related theories and literature research. In the context of high school students play onlie game, this study uses the dual system theory from cognitive neuroscience to explore the internal mechanism of online game addiction to construct theoretical models. To analyze the positive regulation effect of impulsive system on youth online game addiction and negative regulation effect of self-control system on youth online game addiction. This study takes online high school students’ online game addiction as an example. It’s studied by combination of literature research method and empirical study. The literature research method provides a systematic review of online game addiction and dual system theory. In empirical research, based on the theoretical model,a survey questionnaire about rural senior high school students playing online games was designed.Three hundred rural students in the fourth middle school of Taojiang County of Hunan Province were surveyed and 284 questionnaires were recovered,of which 27 were invalid, and finally 257 valid questionnaires were obtained.SPSS24.0 was used to verify the research hypothesis and theoretical model.Based on theoretical and empirical research, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The impulsive system has a significant positive correlation with the use of online games in rural senior high school students;the impulsive system is the basis for impulsive behavior. When teenagers receive external stimuli,Like the experience of playing online games and the level of online games of peers and the stimulation of related online games information,it is very easy to inspire associative clusters of young people’s online games. When the associative clusters of online games are activated, teenagers will have strong urges to play online games, and it is difficult to control the use of online games.(2)Self-control system has no significant effect on the use of online games in village senior high school students;self-control system has no negative influence on online game addiction. This is inconsistent with research hypothesis, and can be explained from three aspects.First, human resources are limited.Self-control is based on the consumption of psychological resources.High school students consume certain personal resources when measuring online games and learning. When individual cognitive resources are consumed, the self-control system will weaken.Second, games on the network from the ontological characteristics ofunstanding, such as competitive, virtual, and anonymity, can cause damage to the self-control system, and eventually lead to self-control systems failing to adopt correct coping strategies when facing online games.Third,self-control failure is closely related to some social problems and personal problems.Because of the limited social resources and growth environment and of rural high school students,it is easy to form psychological problems. These psychological problems will hinder the individual’s ability to solve problems and affect the self-control system. The main contributions of the study:(1)The dual system theory is enriched,In the past, dual system theory is mainly focused on the reasoning decision-making and juvenile behavior deviation problems. This study applies the dual system theory to information technology and greatly enriches the dual system theory.(2)The research conclusions show that the self-control system has no negative impact on online addiction,to study self-control system should consider the damage by the environment, and make up the present theory.provides a new perspective for future study.(3)This article expands the research area of online game addiction, which is a study of youth online games addiction in rural areas.Previous studies did not distinguish between rural and urban adolescents.Rural and urban adolescents differ greatly in their living standards and education levels. Therefore,it is very important to separate the two studies. This is very important for high school students’ research on online game addiction research. It also expands the new fields of information technology research and supplements the research on online game addiction among high school students.
