| Purpose: To measure ciliary body position parameters and angle open parameters of patients with acute primary angle-closure glaucoma(APACG)and normal subjects quantitatively by ultrasound biomicroscopy(UBM),to observe the positional changes of ciliary body in eyes with APACG,and to analyze the associations between anterior chamber angle width and location parameters of ciliary body in patients with APACG.Methods: A total of 57 subjects(57 eyes)were recruited in this study including 31 eyes in the APACG group and 26 eyes in the normal control group.All the subjects were examined by UBM,the collected images were stored,and the clearer images for quantitative analysis were selected.The following measurement parameters were included:(1)angle open distance(AOD500)(2)trabecular meshwork-ciliary process distance(TCPD)(3)iris-ciliary process distance(ICPD)(4)sclera-ciliary process angle(SCPA)(5)ciliary body length 500(CBL500)Results: AOD500,TCPD,ICPD,SCPA and CBL500 in eyes with APACG were(0.0582±0.0342)mm,(0.4907±0.1632)mm,(0.1360±0.0785)mm,(34.6733±6.6505)°,(0.9431±0.3258)mm,respectively,which in normal eyes were(0.2461±0.0978)mm,(0.6955±0.1663)mm,(0.2562±0.1042)mm,(43.3628±23.1267)°,(0.7127±0.2485)mm,AOD500,TCPD,ICPD and SCPA were smaller in eyes with APACG,There were significant differences(all P < 0.001),whereas CBL500 was larger in eyes with APACG compared with normal eyes.There were significant differences(P <0.01).Correlation analysis showed that TCPD,ICPD,SCPA and CBL500 were significantly correlated with AOD500.Conclusions: 1.UBM is one of the main methods of living anterior segment anastomosis,which can quantitatively measure biological parameters such as angle,ciliary body and other anatomical structures and provide data supports for clinical research.2.Ciliary bodies are more anteriorly rotated in eyes with APACG compared with the normal population,ciliary body positional changes can result in the acute attack in primary angle-closure glaucoma patients.This conclusion can further guide the personalized design of clinical operation.3.Anterior chamber angle width is associated with location parameters of ciliary body,sclera-ciliary process angle(SCPA)can best reflect the degree of correlation between the two indexes. |
