Expression And Clinical Significance Of Sex Hormone Receptors In Ameloblastoma | | Posted on:2019-05-02 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:H F Li | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2404330566970745 | Subject:Stomatology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective: Ameloblastoma is a benign odontogenic tumor generally present in the jaw bone.However it is aggressive and high recurrent.Ameloblastoma clinically appears slow growing and painless swelling.Because it is asymptomatic in the early stages and lack of the effective treatment,it seriously affects the quality of patients’ life.It has been widely extensively investigated that sex hormone(estrogen and androgen)and its receptor plays a role in the occurrence and development of tumor,but he mechanism and the pathway are not completely clear.Sex hormone can stimulate the proliferation,migration and invasion in some kinds of tumors,while inhibit the proliferation in others.Estrogen receptor(ER)and androgen receptor(AR)have been associated with the function of sex hormone while participating in the proliferation,migration and invasion of tumor cells.At the same time,the expression of sex hormone is related to the prognosis of tumor.This review mainly talks about the role and clinical significance of estrogen,androgen,ER and AR in tumors.It can make a new direction in the early diagnoses,intervention and treatment of tumors.Methods:1.Expression level of AR/ER was analyzed by q RT-PCR analysis in ameloblastoma tissues and corresponding normal oral mucosa(NOM).2.Immunohistochemical analysis was used to detect the expression level of AR and ER in 90 cases of ameloblastoma and 20 cases of NOM.Results: 1.The expression of AR in AB by q RT-PCR was 1.95 times higher than that in NOM(p<0.05);the expression of ER1 in AB was 1.93 times higher than that in NOM(p<0.05);the expression of ER2 in AB was relative 1.95 times higher than NOM(p<0.05).2.IHC showed that the expression of AR in AB was 3.18 times as much as that of NOM(p<0.0001).The expression of ER1 in AB was 4.06 times as much as that of NOM(p<0.0001).The expression of ER2 in AB was NOM 3.92 times(p<0.0001).3.Statistical analysis found that AR expression was elevated in patients with tumor recurrence(p<0.05),but AR was There was no significant difference in the expression of different ages,pathological classifications and sites of lesions(p>0.05).ER1/ER2 was enhanced expression in patients with solid polycystic pathology,but ER1/ER2 was not significantly differently expressed in samples of different ages,recurrences,and lesion sites(p >0.05).Conclusions:1.Through q RT-PCR and immunohistochemical staining,we found that AR/ER was differentially expressed in AB and NOM.2.The expression of AR in AB was related to the gender and recurrence;the expression of ER1/ER2 in AB was related to the gender and pathological classification of AB. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | AB, AR, ER | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
