| Objective: The paper focuses on the study of the expression of PD-L1 and p-STAT3 protein in extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma(ENKTL)and analyses the relationship between ENKTL and clinical parameters as well as prognosis.The correlation between these two proteins is also studied within it.Methods:1 ENKTL patients who were pathologically confirmed and untreated with complete clinical data at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from August 2010 to November 2017 were selected for immunohistochemistry to test the expression levels of PD-L1 and p-STAT3 protein in these 28 patients.2 SPSS21.0 statistical software was used to analyze the relationship between the expression of PD-L1 and p-STAT3 and clinical parameters,prognosis and the correlation between these two proteins.Results:1.The positive rate of PD-L1 protein expression was 89.3%(25/28),and the positive rate of p-STAT3 protein expression was 82.1%(23/28).2.PD-L1 protein expression was correlated with stage(P=0.026),β2 microglobulin(P=0.000),and other clinical parameters(age,sex,B symptoms,number of extranodal involvement,ECOG score,IPI score,Bone marrow involvement,lactate dehydrogenase,C-reactive protein,Ki-67,fasting blood glucose,albumin,and peripheral mononuclear cell count were not correlated(P>0.05).The expression of p-STAT3 protein was not correlated with all of the above clinical parameters(P>0.05).3.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis: Comparing OS,PFS of 1 year,3 years,and 5 years showed that PD-L1 or p-STAT3 positive patients were higher than negative patients.PD-L1 positive OS was higher than PD-L1 negative in patients with stage III/IV but was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.Correlation of PD-L1 and p-STAT3 protein expression: PD-L1 and p-STAT3 protein were positively correlated in ENKTL expression with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.PD-L1 and p-STAT3 proteins are highly expressed in ENKTL.2.There is a correlation between PD-L1 protein and stage as well as β2 microglobulin.3.The positive expression of PD-L1 protein and p-STAT3 protein has a better prognosis in ENKTL,especially in stage III/IV.4.In ENKTL,there is a positive correlation between PD-L1 and p-STAT3 protein expression. |
