Study On The Influence Of Parents’ Entrepreneurship On Children’s Health

Children’s health has always been a matter of concern,in the context of a new wave of entrepreneurship,this article,using the data from the first eight rounds of China Health Nutrition Survey(CHNS),selected children’s age and height ratio(HAZ)score to measure children’s health,using OLS regression model,Treatment effect model and propensity score matching(PSM)and other methods to explore the impact of parental entrepreneurship on children’s health,the study found that the parents at least one side of entrepreneurship,children’s health status is relatively low,the distinction between the parents entrepreneurial status of the estimates are consistent;In addition,there are gender differences in child health The only child’s health is better,and the parents ’ higher health endowment also affects the children’s health.This paper studies the effect of entrepreneurial behavior on children’s health from the angle of parents ’ entrepreneurship,there are two mechanisms.The first is Money investment--the income from entrepreneurship is beneficial to children’s health,this article examines whether the venture can bring a revenue premium,the estimated results show a significant positive impact on the monthly income.The second is time input--the reduction in the care time caused by entrepreneurship is detrimental to children’s health,and the estimates show that entrepreneurship significantly reduces childcare time,with two mechanisms in a positive and negative way,with an offsetting relationship in which parents ’ entrepreneurship does significantly reduce the health level of children.In this paper,it is suggested that children care substitutes can be developed to alleviate the negative impact of parents’ entrepreneurship on children’s health.
