| Objective:The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of root canal therapy,pulpotomy and apical surgery in the treatments of pulpal and periapical disease.Methods:Patients were recruited from the patients who need dental treatment in endodontics department of Union Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from September 2016~March 2017.First of all,make a clinical diagnosis by clinical test.Develop appropriate treatment options according to the patient’s condition.Four typical clinical cases were selected,which including a case of pulpotomy,two cases of root canal therapy and a case of apical surgery.After the treatment,patients were followed up regularly to evaluate the efficacy of the therapies.Results:Four typical cases which including a case of maxillary first molar with six root canal,a case of maxillary second molar with four root canal in a fused-root,a case of mandibular first molar treated with pulpotomy,and a case of maxillary lateral incisor treated with apical surgery.The short-term clinical performance was acceptable.Conclusion:The application of root canal therapy,pulpotomy and apical surgery in the treatments of pulpal and periapical disease can achieve satisfactory clinical effect.Appropriate use of CBCT and microscope can increase its therapeutic level. |
