| Objectives To investigate the correlation between characteristics of coronary artery plaque and serum uric acid level. Methods 28 patients were diagnosed coronary heart disease(CHD)by coronary angiography(CAG)from September 2015 to September 2017 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University.20 healthy people with negative coronary angiography(CAG)as the control group were selected for the same period, and the level of serum uric acid(UA)was measured in both groups.Analysis of the correlation between the level of serum uric acid and the correlation of coronary artery plaque.Results(1)The level of UA in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).(2)The serum total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG)and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)in the study group were all higher than those in the control group, the difference between them was statistically significant(p<0.05).(3)Among the 28 subjects, there were 22 males and 6 females, aged from 31 to 78 years old,mean(57.79±12.99)years old. There were 13 cases of lipid plaque group,13 cases of fibrous plaque group and 2 cases of calcified plaque group. The level of serum uric acid(UA)in the lipid plaque group was higher than that in the fibrous plaque group(p<0.05).The level of serum uric acid(UA)in the lipid plaque group was higher than that in the calcified plaque group(p<0.05).There was no significant difference in serum uric acid level between the fibrous plaque group and the calcified plaque group(p>0.05).Conclusion The level of serum uric acid(UA)is correlated with the occurrence of coronary heart disease(CHD).The higher levels of uric acid, coronary artery plaque tend to be more prone to lipid plaques. |
