| Purpose:The purpose of this research, mainly from the perspective of the community of elderly,is to know current situation of the self-perceived aging and health self-management behavior and to explore the effect of self-perceived aging on health self-management behavior through the questionnaire. The purpose is to provide evidence-based evidence for the development of targeted interventions to improve health self-management.Method:During March 2017 to September 2017,we investigated 432 cases elderly residents aged 60 years and above in the community of Changchun City to finish the questionnaire survey by convenient sampling method. We choosed the general information questionnaire and Chinese version of Aging Perceptions Questionnaire,as well as AHSMSRS as research tools. All data were established using Excel software database, using SPSS22.0 for statistical analysis, including t-test,analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and non-conditional Logistic regression analysis.Result:(1)The total score of health self-management of community elderly was(148.18 ± 18.56),with a moderate overall level. In the dimensions of self-management of health and overall average, univariate analysis had statistical significance(P<0.05): age, educational level, religious belief, individual monthly income, health insurance, marital status, sleep disorders, hypertension, with or without alcohol, physical exercise.Multivariate analysis showed that the factors influencing the health self-management of the elderly were physical exercise, individual monthly income, hypertension, religious belief.(2)The elderly selfperceived aging status: the highest score was the positive control dimension(3.58 ± 0.76),the lowest score was the emotional representation dimension(2.47 ± 0.66).There was a statistically significant amount(P<0.05)in each dimension of self-perceived aging: age, personal monthly income, marriage, and with or without chronic disease.(3)The dimensions of self-perceived aging were related to healthy self-management.The acute/chronic timeline dimension, cyclical timeline dimension, the emotional characterization dimension, negative control and negative results were negatively correlated with all dimensions of selfmanagement and total average(P <0.05);positive control and positive results were positively correlated with that(P <0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the three dimensions of the acute/chronic temporal dimension, positive outcome dimension, and negative outcome dimension were the main influencing factors. Conclusion: The overall health self-management of the elderly in the community is at an intermediate level. On the whole, the health self-management of the elderly presented a state of "high cognitive and low behavior".Self-perceptional aging affects the health selfmanagement of the elderly, especially the acute / chronic timeline dimension, the positive and negative outcomes.Relevant personnel can start from these aspects to seek interventions measures to promote the elderly self-perceived aging, and then improve their health selfmanagement. |
