Application Of Nasolabial Flap Combined With Palpebral Conjunctival Flap In The Repair Of Lower Eyelid Defect

Objective: Analysis of the effect of nasolabial flap combined with the upper eyelid conjunctival flap in the repair of large area defect of lower eyelid.Methods:Methods the clinical data of 11 patients(7 males and 4 females)with lower eyelid defect due to trauma were collected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from June2015 to June 2017,The cases of eyelid reconstruction were analyzed retrospectively with the combination of the nasolabial flap and the upper eyelid conjunctival flap。The total area of the defect was more than 50%-80%.The anterior layer was reconstructed with the nasolabial flap,and the upper eyelid conjunctival flap was rebuilt.The postoperative follow-up was performed to evaluate the effect of the operation.ResultsThere were 11patients(aged 21 to 60 years),which follow-up period was 3 months to 12 months.After the reconstruction of the 11 cases,the eyelid shape was better,the function was normal,the lower eyelid had no valgus,deformity and retraction.ConclusionNasolabial flap combined with upper eyelid conjunctival flap has the characteristics of simple design,easy operation and strong practicability.It can achieve good functional and aesthetic effects in repairing large area defect of lower eyelid.
