| Objective:To investigate upper airway form and hyoid position of 18 to 25 years young patients in Uygur and Hans with Skeletal Class I malocclusion and Skeletal Class Ⅱmalocclusion in Xinjiang. Methods:Cephalometry was carried on patients with malocclusion, tracing and measuring the jaw, hyoid bone and upper airway with wincep8.0.The landmarks include 16:Hor,R,Ad1,Ba,et al;measurement include 14 items:PNS-Ba,PNS-R,H-Or,H-RGn,et al;All data were input into SPSS20.0 statistical software for testing. Results:the difference between Uygur and Hans patients with Skeletal I malocclusion on airway morphology PNS-Ba,PNS-Adl,Mcl-Mc2,U-MPW was statistically significant, the Uygur measured values is less than the Hans(P<0.05);Hyoid bone measurement items H-MP,H-PNS,H-CVP Uygur were smaller than the Hans, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Uighurs and Hans patients with Skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion in airway form and hyoid position on the study, the difference between measuring project had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Skeletal Class Ⅰ malocclusion compared with Skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion patient in Hans,The difference of airway form on PNS-Ba Mcl-Mc2 was statistically significant(P<0.05);The difference of H-CVP and H-PNS was statistically significant in hyoid position(P<0.05).Skeletal Class Ⅰ malocclusion compared with Skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion patient in Uygur,The difference of airway form on PNS-Ba was statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05);The difference of hyoid position was no statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:there are some differences in upper airway morphology and hyoid location between 18 to 25 years patient of different ethnic groups, who with the same malocclusion type in Xinjiang, and there are also some differences in the patients of the same ethnic group with different malocclusion types. |
