| Objective: To observe the clinical effect of abdominal acupuncture and oral ibuprofen sustained-release capsules in the treatment of patients with primary dysmenorrhea in a randomized controlled trial,so as to provide an effective and authentic clinical basis for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea with abdominal acupuncture. Methods: 60 cases of patients were elected with primary dysmenorrhea who seek medical advice at Outpatient Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion,Ren Ai Branch,The First Hospital Attached to Guangxi University of TCM or recruitment on campus of Guangxi University of TCM.The research started from October 2017 to August 2018.Subjects are separated into treatment group and control group with 30 cases according to the method completely random.Treatment group was treated with abdominal acupuncture which selected Zhongwan acupoint,Xiawan acupoint,Qihai acupoint and Guanyuan acupoint with deep stab, double Huaroumen acupoints, double Wailing acupoints, double lower Fengshidian acupoints with medium depth. The operation commenced to be used from 21 days after menstruation, one time per day, retaining needle therapy for 30 minute every time, continuous 5 days. The control group was treated with oral ibuprofen sustained-release capsules, which could be taken after the onset of lower abdominal pain before menstruation,0.3g each time, twice per day(once in the morning and once in the evening)after meals, continuous 5 days. Both the two groups were with continuous treatment of three menstrual cycles and were respectively recorded in the two groups including visual analog pain score,COX dysmenorrhea symptom integral and the change of clinical symptoms before and after treatment. This reseach was evaluate and contrast the treatment efficacy of two groups with statistical methods. To explore the safety and effectiveness of abdominal acupuncture treatment for primary dysmenorrhea, the VAS score and COX dysmenorrhea symptom integral of the two groups were followed up 3 continuous and compared after treatment. Results: 1.Age,course of disease,VAS pain score and COX symptom score of dysmenorrhea were compared between the two groups before treatment.Statistical analysis showed that the difference was not statistically significant,P>0.05,indicating comparability between the two groups were meaningful.2.Therapeutic effect:(1)30 cases in the treatment group included 3 cured cases,4 obviously effective cases,21 effective cases,2 ineffective cases, which the total effective rate was 93.33%.30 cases in the control group included 1 cured case,4 obviously effective cases,22 effective cases,3 ineffective cases, which the total effective rate was 90%.To compare the total effective rate of the two groups with statistical analysis, the difference was not statistical significant,P>0.05.(2)To compare the VAS pain score and COX symptom score of dysmenorrhea before and after treatment in the two groups with statistical analysis, the difference were statistical significant,P<0.05,indicating that both treatment regimens are effective.(3)After the first and second courses of treatment, the VAS pain score and COX dysmenorrhea symptom score of the two groups were compared with statistical analysis, the difference were not statistical significant,P>0.05.At the end of the third course of treatment, the VAS pain scores of the two groups were compared with statistical analysis and the difference was statistically significant,P< 0.05,indicating the treatment group was superior to the control group.(4)Patients were followed up for 3 consecutive menstrual cycles. The VAS pain score and COX dysmenorrhea symptom score of the two groups were compared with statistical analysis, the difference was statistical significant,P < 0.05,indicating long-term analgesic effect of the treatment group was better than the control group.(5)Safety analysis:no adverse reactions were found in the abdominal acupuncture group in this study.3 patients in the oral ibuprofen sustained-release capsule group had mild gastrointestinal discomfort. After symptomatic treatment, the patient’s symptoms improved. Conclusion: 1.Abdominal acupuncture and oral ibuprofen sustained-release capsules can alleviate the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea to some extent.2.There is no significant difference in short-term analgesic effect between the two treatment methods, but the stability of long-term analgesic effect of the abdominal acupuncture group is better than that of the oral ibuprofen sustained-release capsule group, and the abdominal acupuncture therapy has an advantage in the benign regulation of systemic function.3.Abdominal acupuncture,as a safe, painless and standardized acupuncture therapy, has a real and reliable effect in relieving the pain of patients with primary dysmenorrhea, which is worthy of further clinical promotion. |
