Objective:To explore the value of intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion weighted imaging in quantitatively evaluating of metastatic vertebral disease(MVD).Materials and Method:110 vertebral bodies of twenty one patients with metastatic vertebral disease and103 vertebral bodies with 11 healthy volunteers from June,2018 to Sep,2018,were included as two groups. The conventional MR and IVIM-DWI examination were performed in all patients,IVIM-DWI was performed by using 8 b values(0、50、100、150、200、400、600、800 s/mm2).To calculate IVIM-DWI parameters(diffusion coefficient[D],pseudo diffusion[D*],perfusion fraction[f])and nonparametric test(two independent samples)Mann-Whitney U were performed to compare the statistical significance between D,D*and f values of two groups. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the efficiency of metastatic vertebral disease, and then corresponding the areas under the ROC curve(AUC),cut-off values, sensitivity and specificity were received.Result:The D,D*values of the MVD were(0.81±0.44)×10-33 mm2/s、(55.28±42.12)×10-33 mm2/s respectively, which higher than those of the group volunteers(1.07±0.24)×10-3mm2/s,(0.73±0.21)×10-33 mm2/s.The f value of the group MVD was(0.12±0.07)%,which lower than that of the group volunteers(0.37±0.15)%.Comparison of IVIM-DWI related parameters of spine metastases from different tumor have no statistical significance. There are statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05)The cutoff value,AUC,sensitivity and specificity of diagnosing MVD were,0.75×10-33 mm2/s、0.917、86.4%、88.3%for D;0.54×10-33 mm2/s、0.752、71.8%、81.9%for D*;f’s were too low to provide the information above.Conclusion:IVIM-DWI quantitative analysis is helpful in the diagnosing of metastatic vertebral disease. The D value afforded a better diagnostic performance than other parameters.
