Clinical Research Of Treating Bone Metastases By Reinforcing Kidney And Dredging Collaterals Guided By Ye Tianshi’s Theory Of ’Chronic-Diseases Transforming To Collaterals’

Objective:This study is guided by Ye Tianshi’s theory of"Chronic-Diseases Transforming to Collaterals"."Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe"was used as the research object.Through the inter-group control and the patient’s own control,effects of combining "Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe"with zoledronic acid in patients with bone metastases was observed.Other outcomes such as pain symptoms、quality of life、TCM syndrome、treatment effect of bone metastatic site and biochemical parameters were also observed.The mechanism of action of the"Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe"was further explored.Methods:The study collected 50 patients with bone metastases who met the inclusion criteria from April 2018 to February 2019 in Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.They were randomly di’vided into two groups,25 cases each.Treatment group with"Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe",receiving zoledronic acid,four weeks for a course,three consecutive courses of treatment.The control group receives intravenous infusion of zoledronic acid alone,and the drug was administered three times in a row for four weeks.After the end of the three treatments,the symptoms of pain,quality of life,TCM syndrome,bone metastase range,and biochemical parameters were observed in the two groups.The observation data were statistically analyzed between the two groups finally and draw a conclusion.Results:In terms of effectiveness:there are statistically significant differences in pain relief and quality of life improvement between the two groups(P<0.05).EORTC-QLQ-C30 table was used to evaluate the patients’quality of life,and the results show that both groups achieves significant efficacy in the symptom-field,and the difference between the treatment group and the control group is statistically significant(P<0.05).Also,the treatment group has a certain effect in improving overall-health-field(P<0.05).However,no significant therapeutic effect is observed in the function-field in either group.The TCM symptom scores of the two groups before and after treatment were calculated.The results show that the total effective rate is 88%in the treatment group and 72%in the control group,and the comparison between the two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05).To evaluate the changes of bone metastatic site,the results show that neither the treatment group nor the control group could achieve complete remission,the effective rate of the treatment group is 12%,and the yield is 88%.While the effective rate of control group is 4%and the yield is 76%.However,there is no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).In terms of bone-related biochemical parameters,urinary NTx values of the two groups before and after treatment is statistically significant(P<0.05),and the differences between the two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,serum AKP and LDH values of the two groups were analyzed,and the difference has no statistically significant(P>0.05).In terms of Safety:Before and after treatment,the blood routine,coagulation function,kidney function and electrolyte indicators of the treatment group have no statistical significance.And the blood routine,coagulation hunction,liver function index change of control group have no statistical significance(P>0.05).But the kidney function、Ca and Mg index of control group have statistical significance(P<0.05),which are considered caused by the renal damage and electrolyte disorder of zoledronic acid.The total incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group is 20%,lower than 36%in the control group,suggesting that"Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe"can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in patients with bone metastasis to a certain extent,delay the occurrence of skeletal-related events,and have the effect of increasing efficiency and reducing toxicity.Conclusion:①"Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe"combined with zoledronic acid in the treatment of bone metastatic cancer can effectively control the pain,improve the quality of life,and cause less adverse reactions,be with high safety;②"Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe"combined with zoledronic acid in the treatment of bone metastatic cancer can significantly decreased the urnnary NTx content.It shows that the mechanism of"Reinforcing kidney and dredging collaterals recipe"treating bone metastasis may be through the inhibition of osteoclast activity and reduction of bone destruction,which lead to bone protection.
