A Randomized Controlled Study Of Single Needle Hegu Point Combined With Exercise Therapy In The Treatment Of Pillow Loss

Objective:Through the clinical comparative study of single needle Hegu acupoint combined with kinesiotherapy and routine needling at Cervical Jiaji for occipital treatment,the safety and effectiveness of single needle Hegu acupoint for occipital treatment were preliminarily explored,in order to provide a more convenient and easily accepted treatment of occipital acupuncture program for clinical patients.Methods:In this study,72 patients who have a stiff neck were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.36 patients in control group were treated with routine needling at Neck Jiaji Point,while 36 patients in treatment group were treated with single needling at Hegu Point combined with exercise therapy,once a day,three days as a course of treatment.The relevant data were statistically analyzed after treatment.Results:The results showed that there was no significant difference in VAS,NDI and cervical joint activity scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);after treatment,VAS,NDI and cervical joint activity scores of the two groups were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05),and after treatment,VAS,NDI and cervical joint activity scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.001),The total effective rate of the treatment group was 97.2%,significantly higher than that of the control group(66.67%,P<0.01).The one-time effective rate of the treatment group was 36.11%,higher than that of the control group(19.44%,P<0.05).Conclusion:Single needle Hegu acupoint combined with exercise therapy can significantly improve the degree of pain and cervical mobility.In terms of total and primary efficacy of treatment,the treatment group was better than the control group.It shows that single needle Hegu point combined with exercise therapy is more effective than conventional needling at Neck Jiaji point in the treatment of occipital depression,which can improve the clinical efficacy and is worth popularizing.Compared with other acupuncture methods,single acupoint stimulation manipulation has less acupoints,quickly treatment effect,easier tolerance,less needle fear and increased patient compliance.
