Observation Of Clinical Effects On Ziyin Runchang Prescription For The Treatment Of Functional Constipation With Yin Deficiency

Objective:To observe the clinical effects and safety of ziyin runchang prescription in the treatment of functional constipation with Yin deficiency,so as to provide guidance for the clinical treatment of functional constipation.Methods:Sixty patients with functional constipation due to Yin deficiency who met the inclusion criteria were divided into the treatment group(30 cases)and the control group(30 cases).The treatment group received ziyin runchang prescription,and the control group received polyethylene glycol 4000(Fusong)orally,with a course of 8 weeks.The proportion of patients whose total spontaneous completely bowel movements(SCBM)was more than 3 times per week on average during the treatment period,the score of major symptoms of constipation before and after treatment,the efficacy of TCM syndromes,and the quality of life score of constipation patients(PAC-QOL scale)were used as the efficacy evaluation indicators.SPSS 22.0 was used for statistical treatment and analysis.Results:During the 1-2 weeks of treatment,30%and 33.3%of the patients in the treatment group and the control group averaged SCBM 3 times a week respectively.For 3-4 weeks,the above proportions were 50%in the treatment group and 43.3%in the control group.In 5-6 weeks,the above proportions were 60%and 56.7%respectively.At 7-8 weeks,the above proportions were 53.3%and 56.7%,respectively,in the treatment group and the control group.According to the test,there was no statistical difference in average weekly SCBM between the treatment group and the control group in different periods(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups had similar effect in improving the frequency of defecation.After treatment,the fecal traits,defecation difficulty,main symptom score and PAC-QOL score of the two groups were significantly lower than before(P<0.05),and the treatment group had more significant efficacy in improving defecation difficulty and quality of life(P<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome in the treatment group was 73.33%,and that in the control group was 46.67%,which was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).During the treatment,the common adverse reactions were abdominal pain,diarrhea and nausea,and no serious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups.Conclusion:Nourishing Yin and moistening intestines can significantly improve defecation and associated symptoms of patients with functional constipation of Yin deficiency type,improve the quality of life of patients,the efficacy of TCM syndrome is better than control group,and has a good tolerance and safety.
