Objective: Scalp psoriasis is a kind of common dermatological disease.Through the investigation and analysis of the quality of life of patients with scalp psoriasis,the quality of life and the relevant influencing factors are assessed to clarify the understanding of the disease between the dermatologist and the patient.It can also strengthen communication between doctors and patients,improve patient compliance,and ultimately play a reference role in improving the quality of life of patients.Methods: This study used cross-sectional survey and a questionnaire on the spot was used in this survey.All cases were outpatient and inpatient scalp psoriasis patients from Shandong Province Dermatology Hospital from May 2018 to November 2018.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,204 cases were involved.The questionnaire consists of two parts:(1)the patient’s sociodemographic characteristics questionnaire;(2)the health-related quality of life questionnaire: the skin disease life quality index(DLQI),the Chinese version of the Scalpdex,and the Chinese version of the Beck Depression Inventory-II(BDI-II),which evaluate the quality of life of patients in various aspects.professionally trained researchers collected questionnaires and processed the data.Statistical analysis uses SPSS19.0 statistical software package,the corresponding description and statistical methods were selected according to the type of data.Results: A total of 219 questionnaires were sent out in this study,212 were collected,and the number of valid questionnaires were 204.118 males(57.6%)and 86 females(42.4%)were involved and the average age was 36.96±13.61 years.1.Comparison of DLQI scores of scalp psoriasis patients with general characteristics and disease characteristics: the DIQI scores of women were higher than those of men.In terms of educational levels,DLQI scores in college/university and above education groups were highly different from other two group.The DIQI scores of patients with PASI score ≥10 weresignificantly higher than those with <10;among the groups with light,moderate,and severe lesion areas,the group with BSA>10% and <5% had the differences in DLQI scores compared with other groups.All differences were statistically significant,P < 0.05.2.Comparison of the dimensions of Chinese version of the Scalpdex scale with the general characteristics of the patient and the characteristics of the disease characteristics: the overall score of the scale of women is higher than that of men;there are statistical difference in the emotional dimension and overall score of patients with different educational levels.There were statistical differences between the PASI score and the lesion area in regard of the symptom,emotional,functional,and overall scores.3.Comparison of BDI-II scores and patients’ general characteristics and disease characteristics: the average score of the Chinese version of BDI-II of the scalp psoriasis patients was 14.85±7.21,and depression group had 83 cases,accounting for 40.7%.BDI-II score female>Male;among different educational levels,the difference in DLQI scores mainly exists in the college/university level and above group.The difference in lesion area was shown between BSA > 10% and < 5%.Conclusion: There are many factors to affect the quality of life of patients with scalp psoriasis.The gender,education level,PASI score,and skin lesion area have different effects on quality of life.In addition,the detection rate of depression in patients with scalp psoriasis is high,which is also an important factor in the decline of patients’ health-related quality of life.
