| ObjectiveThrough the study on the status of locus of control,self-esteem and stigma, analyzing the relationship between locus of control,self-esteem and stigma in hospitalized depression pati ents, exploring the factors affecting the stigma of patients with depression,to give effective a dvises for helping patients with depression remove stigma and promote physical and mental healthMethodThrough selecting 81 patients with depression who accepted medical treatment in Shandong mental health center psychological ward from 2017.7 to 2018.2 as the tested for the study, and by using the general situation questionnaire,IPC,SES and SSPMI to carry out the survey and a series of statistical analyses were carried out.Result1.The average score of SSPMI was 37.58±16.17,which was below the median of the scale-48 points(P<0.001).The average score of SES was 25.14±5.53,significantly lower than the national norm28.75±4.86(P<0.05).The average score of internality was 26.96±7.23,below the median score-35 points(P<0.01)2.There exist significant differences between the SSPMI total scores and dimensions of treatment in hospitalized patients with depression of different genders(t=-2.03,-2.475,P<0.05);between the SSPMI total scores and dimension of socialin patients for different length of stay(F=3.280,P<0.05)3.The internality had significant positive correlation with the self-esteem(r=0.329,P<0.01),The powerful others and chance had significant negative correlation with self-esteem(r=-0.336,r=-0.323,P<0.01);The internality had significant negative correlation with the stigma.(r=-0.370,P<0.01),the powerful others and chance had significant positive correlation with the stigma(r=0.434,r-0.333,P<0.01);And the self-esteem had significant negative correlation wi th the stigma(r=-0.466,/P<0.01).Multivariate linear regression analysis found that gender, age, marital status, and work type were the factors influencing stigma in hospitalized patients wit h depression.4.After adding the self-esteem,standard regression coefficient of the internal control for stigma in the locus of control declined from 0.421 to 0.289,standard regression coefficient of the powerful others for stigma declined from 0.455 to 0.314,standard regression coefficient of the chance for stigma dropped from 0.404 to 0.248 Conclusion1.The hospitalized patients with depression had low level of stigma, low self-esteem,low internal control in the locus of control2.The internality had significant negative correlation with the stigma and the self-esteem had significant negative correlation with the stigma3.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that gender, age, marital status and work type were the factors influencing stigma in hospitalized patients with depression3.Self-esteem plays a mediating part in the relationship between dimensions of locus of control and stigma in hospitalized patients with depression. |
