Objective:To investigate the role of pelvic MRI in detecting bone marrow involvement(BMI)in lymphoma.Methods:122 patients with lymphoma were enrolled in this study, and BMI positive rates of bone marrow biopsy, pelvic MRI and 65 18F-FDG PET-CT were analyzed.Imaging features of pelvic MRI and 18F-FDG PET-CT were analyzed.Results:(1)The BMI positive rates of bone marrow biopsy(BMB)and pelvic MRI in 122 patients were 14.8%(18/122)and 28.7%(35/122),respectively.The BMI positive rate of pelvic MRI was higher than BMB(P=0.008).(2)A total of 65 patients underwent both pelvic MRI and 18F-FDG PET-CT.The BMI positive rates between pelvic MRI and 18F-FDG PET-CT were no statistical difference(29.2%vs.26.2%,P=0.695).(3)The ability of pelvic MRI in detecting the location of lesions was similar to18F-FDG PET-CT.(4)Lesions of BMI were distributed in bone marrow separately, especially in pelvis. Conclusion:The BMI positive rates of pelvic MRI were higher than BMB.There was no significant difference in detecting BMI between pelvic MRI and18F-FDG PET-CT.
