| Objective To investigate the short-term clinical effect of adenoidectomy combined with Balloon Dilatation Eustachian Tuboplasty for the treatment of chronic otitis media with effusion in children. Methods A total of 30 patients(55 ears)with a diagnosis of chronic secretory otitis media between the ages of 7-12 years from January 2017 to February 1818 were enrolled. The study group was divided into study group(16 cases with 28 ears)and control group.(14 cases with27 ears). The surgical procedure of the study group was:Balloon Dilatation Eustachian Tuboplasty+tympanic incision catheterization+adenoidectomy, and the control group was:tympanic membrane incision+adenoidectomy.Postoperative hearing results were compared between the two groups 6 months after surgery. Results Quantitative data were expressed by X(mean)±SD(standard deviation),and the air conduction hearing, bone conduction hearing, and air-bone conduction hearing difference between the two groups before and after 6 months were compared using the paired sample t test. The mean air conductance of the study group was 39.47±12.72 dB and 20.06±10.15 dB before operation and 6 months after operation(t=8.68,P<0.01).The control group had 0.5-2kHz before and 6 months after surgery. The average air conductance was 38.96±11.79 dB and24.30±7.47 dB,respectively(t=5.96,P<0.01).The average bone conduction of the study group before and 6 months after surgery was 12.78±4.86 dB,14.34±6.08 dB(t=-1.73,P>0.05);the control group before surgery and 6 months after surgery,0.5-2 kHz 3 The mean bone conductance of the frequency was 11.62±4.06 dB and 12.30±4.46 dB,respectively(t=-1.29,P>0.05).The air-bone conduction difference of the study group before and 6 months after operation was 26.69±11.95 dB and 5.72±7.36 dB,respectively(t=8.45,P<0.01).The control group received pre-operative and postoperative 6 months. It is 27.33±12.19 dB and12.00±8.61 dB(t=5.34,P<0.01).According to the nasal endoscope, there was no obvious dilatation of the eustachian tube, the air-bone conduction difference was≤10dBHL,or the air-bone conduction was reduced by>15dBHL.The patient’s self-conscious symptoms were significantly improved. The effective rate of the control group was 100%.The effective rate was 62.96%,c~2=12.675,P<0.001,and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusions Adenoidectomy combined with Balloon Dilatation Eustachian Tuboplasty are more effective in improving the recent clinical symptoms of children with chronic otitis media. |
