Background High-density lipoprotein plays an anti-atherosclerosis role by promoting cholesterol efflux, inhibiting inflammatory response and protecting endothelial cells. It is an independent protective factor of cardiovascular disease.Low level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol is an independent risk factor of cardiovascular disease. However,a verity of study which attempt to raise the level of plasma high-density lipoprotein cholesterol almost failed to benefit the patients with cardiovascular disease. The latest research suggests that the oxidative modification of high-density lipoprotein in patients with cardiovascular disease can promote the progress of atherosclerosis by increasing the inflammatory response as well as promoting the apoptosis of cells.Oxidized high density lipoprotein may be a new risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and a new target for the assessment and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Objective This paper aims to study the correlation between plasma oxidized high density lipoprotein(ox-HDL)and the degree of coronary artery disease in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Secondary, this study try to discuss whether ox-HDL/HDL would reflect the true level of plasma HDL.Methods A total of 128 people were included in the study.84 patients admitted to the second ward of department of cardiology, the first affiliated hospital of xinxiang medical college from July 2018 to February 2019 who were diagnosed with coronary artery disease by coronary angiography were selected as the experimental group.44 patients with normal coronary angiography were selected as the control group.Serum levels of ox-HDL was detected by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),the correlation between ox-HDL,ox-HDL/HDL and the Hcy,Gensini score was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Results The level of ox-HDL in the experimental group is higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).There is a significant positive correlation between ox-HDL and Gensini score(r=0.335,P<0.01).There is a significant positive correlation between ox-HDL/HDL and Gensini score(r=0.819,P<0.01).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis shows that oxHDL level is correlated with the severity of CHD.Conclusions Ox-HDL is a risk factor for CHD.ox-HDL and ox-HDL/HDL can be two better indicators to evaluate the degree of coronary artery disease and the true level of plasma HDL in patients with CHD.Ox-HDL may become a new risk factor of atherosclerosis and a new target for the treatment of CHD.
