Investigation And Analysis On The Application Of "Internet+ Maternal And Child Health" In Municipal Maternal And Child Health Institutions In China

Objective:To explore the application status of "Internet +"in municipal maternal and child health care(MCH)institutions in China,compare the difference of development of "Internet +maternal and child health" in the eastern,central and western China of municipal MCH institutions,discuss the main factors affecting the development of "Internet+ maternal and child health " in municipal MCH institutions,and provide reference for the development of"Internet + maternal and child health" for municipal MCH institutionsMethods:1.Literature study:To understand the application of "Internet +"technology in medical field in China and abroad through the method of literature reading,as well as the relevant policy documents on the development of "Internet +"technology in China,and draw up a preliminary research plan2.Expert seminar:The experts were invited to conduct an advisory discussion and,after repeated discussions,the final research plan was formed3.Questionnaire survey:Through the network direct report system to investigate the application and problems of "Internet + maternal and child health" technology in 285 municipal MCH institutions(excluding Tibet)in China.4.On-site investigation:Four municipal MCH institutions in Hangzhou,Suzhou,Xiamen and Xiangtan are selected as typical areas for on-side investigation.Four methods,including colloquiums,individual interviews,group interviews and questionnaire survey,are used to understand the utilization,function,problems,and suggestions of"Internet +" in municipal MCH institutions,and"Internet + maternal and child health"service usages and evaluation among service object.Results:1.The results of institutional network questionnaire survey:83.5%of institutions use"Internet +" technology to provide services.The top three technologies used are WeChat,free WiFi and related websites.64.6%of the institutions provide"Internet +" convenience services to their clients.The top three services are hospital information inquiry,health education and appointment registration.32.6%of institutions provide "Internet+" specific service for women and children,and the proportion from high to low are wearable device remote monitoring(16.1%).antenatal examination/physical examination of children/vaccination reminder(13.3%),online school for pregnant women(10.2%),follow-up management services(9.8%)and self-help measurements such as body height,weight,blood pressure(3.5%).28.4%of institutions provide "Internet +" related services to doctors.The top three service are check the test results of patients,inquire about patients’basic information,treatment of patients.26.0%of the institutions provided "Internet +"services to nurses.The top one service is specimen code scan.35.4%of the institutions applied the "Internet +" technology to institutional management.The top three service are mobile office,adverse event reporting,performance management.46.0%of the institutions used the "Internet +" technology to achieve jurisdiction management or service function.The top three service are maternity system management,child system management,high-risk pregnant women management.The proportion of 13 technical applications,18 convenience services,5 specific services for women and children,9 services for doctors,4 services for nurses.5 institutional management and 12 district management,the eastern,central and western institutuions are diminishing.The top three problems of implementation of the"Internet + maternal and child health" are the lack of a regulatory system,the lack of professional and technical staff on the Internet and the lack of related standards,accounting for 63.5%.57.5%and 49.1%.2.The results of the qualitative analysis of the on-site investigation:"Internet + maternal and child health”service type in 4 institutions can be divided into four types:mobile medical care,District mangement based on regional health information platform,telemedicine based on "Internet+" technology,Internet health care based on Internet ofThings.The application "Internet + maternal and child health"can improve the efficiency and quality,standardize the management and reduce the cost.The institution adopts the security of software and hardware,the security of management to protect the information safety.The problems of "Internet + maternal and child health" development are mainly reflected in the lack of policy support,the problems of information security management and the insufficient capacity for data analysis.3.The results of service object questionnaire on-site investigation:The most technology of "Internet + maternal and child health" used by service object was WeChat,accounting for 49.2%.The top three services used most were registration,checking results and online payment.The top two technologies with the greatest demand are telemedicine technology and one card connect,and the top two services with greatest demand are telemedicine service and check-up results.96.7%of the respondents thought that "Internet + maternal and child health" had improved the experience of medical treatment and thought that "Internet +maternal and child health" should be promoted,and 21.3%also thought that it would bring inconvenience to them,and that there were safety concerns.80.3%were concerned about privacy disclosure.Conclusion:The development of "Internet + maternal and child health" in municipal MCH institutions in China is still in the initial stage,the application form is various,but the application of special service for women and children is low,and there is a great development difference between the eastern,central and western regions."Internet +maternal and child health" has played a positive role in the development of institutions.MCH institutions have great potential to develop "Internet + maternal and child health",which requires the joint efforts of government,maternal and child health institutions,social groups and other departments.
