Objective:To study the effects of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. Objectives and methods:Retrospectively collected 60 patients with polysomnography and OS A diagnosed in the Department of Respiratory Medicine,First Hospital of Jilin University from January 2013 to February 2019,including 45 males and 15 females. There were 50 healthy controls in the body, including 29 males and 21 females.According to the apnea-hypopnea index(AHI)level, patients in the OSA group were divided into three groups:light(5<AHI<15),medium(15<AHI<30),and heavy(AHI>30).General clinical data were collected from all subjects, including gender, age, body mass index(BMI),polysomnography(PSG)monitoring indicators, plasma renin activity(PRA),orthotopic blood vessels.Angiotensin Ⅱ Ang Ⅱ,Aldosterone ALD,general clinical data, plasma PRA,AngⅡ,ALD levels in OSA and control groups;general clinical data,PSG monitoring indicators in patients with mild, moderate, and recombinant OSA,plasma PRA,AngⅡ,ALD levels.Result:1.Patients in the OSA group had higher age and BIM values than the control group(p<0.05).The OSA group had a higher AHI index and a lower percentage of LSP02 than the control group.2.There was no statistical difference in the renin level between the OSA group and the control group. The angiotensin II and aldosterone levels were higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant.3.OSA mild group(15 cases),moderate group(16 cases),severe group(29 cases),the three groups of comparison, the longest apnea time did not show statistical difference.LSa02,MSa02,no statistical difference between the light and middle groups. In the middle and recombined patients, the percentage of minimum oxygen saturation and mean oxygen saturation decreased with the severity of OSA.There was no significant correlation between plasma renin activity and OSA severity(p>0.05).There was no statistical difference between angiotensin II and aldosterone levels in mild to moderate group, but moderate to severe patients with OSA severity.Aggravation, angiotensin II,aldosterone levels increased.Conclusion:1.OSA activates the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and may promote the formation of hypertension through this mechanism.2.The more severe the OSA,the higher the serum angiotensin II and aldosterone levels.
