| ObjectiveMenopausal women in today’ s society still undertake the burden of family and society, but few people understand this situation and pay attention to this special group, which makes women of this age have a high risk of suffering depression and anxiety, this status emphasize the importance of diagnosis and treatment of emotional disorders.Antidepressants and hormone replacement therapy has a certain risk of side effects. So we trying to explore the therapeutic conventional treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for this type of disease by observing the clinical efficacy of three groups as follow:acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine group(Hereinafter referred to as Group 1);acupuncture and placebo of traditional Chinese medicine(Hereinafter referred to as Group 2);placebo of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine(Hereinafter referred to as Group 3).MethodsAccording to the order of being admitted to Guangdong traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from Jan.2017 to Nov.2017,95 patients with moderate-severe mood disorder and meeting the criterion of renal deficiency and hepatic stagnation were randomly grouped. Then we assign them to differently groups randomly in order.Group 1 was given abdominal acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine which can tonify the kidney and smooth the liver.Group 2 was given abdominal acupuncture and placebo of Chinese medicine.Group 3 was given sham acupuncture and Chinese medicine for tonifying kidney and soothing liver. The treatment lasted for 8 weeks and was followed up at 12th week. The curative effect was evaluated by Greene scale,SDS scale and SAS scale at the first visit,4th week and 8th week.Laboratory tests were performed before and after treatment for safety analysis.Results1.The scores of Greene,SDS,and SAS at 4th week,8th week and 12th week were significantly different from those of the initial diagnosis(P<0.05).The improvement of the efficacy of vasomotor and sexual dimensions was slower in the three groups, but there was significant difference showed at the 12th week after treatment(P<0.05).2.With respect to the anxiety scale of the Greene scale at the 4th week, the scores of the group 1 was significantly lower than those of the other two groups(P<0.05).Indicating that the efficacy of group 1 was better than the other two groups.3.With respect to the SDS scale at the 8th week, the scores of the group 1 was significantly lower than those of the other two groups(P<0.05),indicating that the efficacy of group 1 was better than the other two groups. In addition,The score of group 1 was significantly lower than other two groups at the 12th week(P<0.05),indicating that the efficacy of the composite treatment group was still better than others and there was still a certain therapeutic advantage during the follow-up period for group 1.4.The difference of scores in the first 8 weeks showed that the effects of anxiety, depression, body and vasomotor dimensions were not significantly different between the three groups(P>0.05).In terms of sexual dimension, the scores of the three groups were significantly different(P<0.05).Further analysis proved that the efficacy of the acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine group was better than other two groups.5.The score of SAS showed in the first 8 weeks indicated no significant difference among three groups(P>0.05).In contrast, the scores of SDS scale of three groups were significantly different(P<0.05).Further analysis proved that the therapeutic effect of group 1 was superior to the other two groups in the symptoms of SDS scale.6.Repeated measures analysis of variance results showed that the score of Greene scale and its five-dimensional、SDS and SAS were significantly influenced by time(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the interaction between time and work stress in the depression dimension of the Greene scale(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the interaction between the time and the group and among time and group plus soybean consumption in the sexual dimension of the Greene scale(P<0.05).7.The total score of the Greene scale and the score of its anxiety dimension、depression dimension and body dimension of the three groups were still significantly decreased during the follow-up period(P<0.05).The vasomotor dimension and sexual dimension scores were not significantly different(P>0.05).So we can know that different interventions of three groups can still improve the symptoms of anxiety, depression and body dimensions during the follow-up period, but the vasomotor and sexual dimension symptoms were not obviously improved during this period.8.There was no significant difference between three groups in the improvement of the symptoms of Greene,SDS and SAS during the follow-up period(P>0.05).Conclusion1.Acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine group, simple acupuncture group and simple Chinese medicine group can significantly improve the physical and psychological symptoms of menopausal women with emotional disorders.2.The acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine group has obvious advantages in the treatment of menopausal women in the treatment period and follow-up period, this composite treatment group also has advantages in vasomotor and sexual dimension symptoms during the treatment period.3.The curative effect of treatment is related to the length of time, especially for vasomotor symptoms and sexual symptoms.Doctors and patients need to understand the necessity of time and face it positively.4.The combination of abdominal acupuncture and Chinese medicine granules of tonifying kidney and soothing liver can be considered as a TCM routine plan for menopausal emotional disorders. |
