Objective:To investigate the safety and effectiveness of laparoscopic assisted colorectal surgery by comparing the short-term effects of laparoscopic and open resection of colorectal cancer. Methods:The clinical data of patients undergoing colorectal cancer surgery in our hospital from May 2016 to December 2017 were retrospective reviewed.According to the different surgical methods, the patients were divided into laparoscopic assisted surgery group and open surgery group. The surgical related clinical indicators and quality of life scores of the two groups were compared.SPSS l8.0 statistical software was used for data statistical analysis. The measurement data were compared with t test, and the numeration data were compared withχ~2 test or Fisher accurate probability test.P<0.05 was thought statistically significant. Results:There was no significant difference in the general data of sex, age,BMI index,ASA grade,TNM stage, tumor differentiation and tumor gross classification in the laparoscopy assisted surgery group and the open surgery group(P>0.05).The time of getting out of bed, time of pulling out urethral catheter, number of intravenous nutrition support, and postoperative pain were less in laparoscopy assisted surgery group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the operation time, intraoperative bleeding, intraoperative fluid infusion, the number of lymph node dissection, postoperative exhaust time, beginning of the feeding time, catheter indwelling time, catheter drainage, rate of postoperative complications and the hospitalization time between the two groups(P<0.05).With regard to postoperative quality of life, the Karnofsky score in the laparoscopy group was slightly higher than that in the open group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The scores of the SF-36 health questionnaire in Role-Physical,Bodily Pain,Social Functioning, and Mental Health in laparoscopic group were higher than those in open group(P<0.05),while the scores of other four items were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:Laparoscopic assisted surgery is as safe and effective as open surgery for colorectal cancer, but laparoscopic assisted colorectal resection has the advantages of less trauma, lower postoperative pain, meeting aesthetic requirements, faster recovery after surgery, and higher quality of life for patients. So laparoscopic assisted colorectal surgery is worth extensively promoted and applied.
