Objective: Patients with pulmonary nodules have to face the benign and malignant uncertainty of the nodules and pressure of operation, there will be a series of bad psychology, such as tension, fear, pessimism and anxiety. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of preoperative positive psychological intervention on postoperative state-trait anxiety(STAI)in patients with pulmonary nodules, and to provide references for perioperative psychological anxiety intervention in patients with pulmonary nodules.Measures: Eighty patients from thoracic surgery in the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University with pulmonary nodules were randomly divided into two groups: control group(n = 40)and experimental group(n = 40),and the control group(n = 40)received structured psychological intervention. On this basis, the experimental group was given positive psychological intervention, and the state trait anxiety scale(STAI)was used to investigate its before and after surgery. Results: Before the operation, there was no significant difference in the mean STAI score between the experimental group and the control group(P > 0.05).After the operation,if the patient’s pulmonary nodule was optimum, there was no significant difference in the mean T-AI score between the experimental group and the control group(P > 0.05),but there was significant difference in the mean S-AI score(P < 0.05),and the mean S-AI score in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group. After the operation,if the patient’s pulmonary nodule was malignancy, there was no significant difference in the mean STAI scores of the experimental group and the control group(P > 0.05),and the mean STAI score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group. In the control group, there was no difference in mean STAI score between before and after operation(P > 0.05).In the experimental group,if the patient’s pulmonary nodule was optimum, there was no significant difference in mean S-AI score between before and after surgery(P > 0.05),but there was significant difference in mean T-AI score(P < 0.05),and the after operation’s mean T-AI score was lower than that before operation. If the patient’s pulmonary nodule was malignancy, there was significant difference in mean STAI scores between patients before and after operation(P < 0.05),and the after operation’s mean STAI scores were lower than those before operation(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The positive psychological intervention had no obvious effect on the preoperative anxiety, but had some positive significance to the improvement of the postoperative anxiety.
