| Objective : To compare the clinical characteristics, treatment status and prognosis of emergency PCI patients of different genders. And To explore whether gender can be an independent risk factor for poor prognosis during hospitalization of emergency PCI patients. Methods :Our study reviewed Patients with acute myocardial infarction who were treated with emergency PCI in the second affiliated hospital of chongqing medical university from January 2013 to December2016.They were divided into male and female groups by gender. And we compared the difference in clinical characteristics and the incidence of adverse events between the two groups. Finally to explore the the influencing factors of in-hospital mortality. Results : Details of 192 patients with acute myocardial infarction treated with primary PCI,including 46(24%)women and 146(76%)men,were collected.Compared with men, women presented with higher age, higher Prevalence of hypertension and diabetes, more number of family history, more number of Heart failure and Killip grading >3,lower usagerate of β receptor blockers.Male patients were significantly more likely to smoke than women.Although female patients had higher in-hospital mortality than males, after adjusting for age and cardiovascular risk factors, the difference in mortality ceased to exist between men and women.Gender can not be the Independent risk factor of in-hospital mortality. In our study, only Killip grading >3 can be the independent risk factor of in-hospital mortality. Conclusion:Gender differences exist in clinical characteristics and prognosis of acute myocardial infarction patients treated with emergency PCI.Gender can not be the Independent risk factor of in-hospital mortality after adjusting for age and cardiovascular risk factors.Only Killip grading >3 can be the Independent risk factor of in-hospital mortality. |
