Objective:To analyze the basic clinical features in early stage of optic neuritis and study the related clinical manifestations about visual acuity prognosis, futhermore supply theoretical basis for the treatment of optic neuritis(ON).Using Angio-OCT to measure the early change of optic disc and macular lutea, and explore the related clinical manifestations. Methods:We retrospectively collected the data of hospitalized patients with optic neuritis(ON)from January 2017 to March 2018 in the department of fundus in Shanxi Eye hospital,67 patients with 85 eyes involved.Recording the basic clinical data, basical information, past meadical history, ophthalmic symptoms, and angio optical coherence tomography(Angio-OCT)examination results, including average thickness of peripaillary retinal nerve fiber layer(pRNFL)and the thickness of pRNFL from eighten directions, optic disc parameters(the cup-to-disk area ratio, vertical and horizontal height ratio, the rim area, disk area, and cup volume),the thickness of macular ganglion cell layer(mGCL),and the loss of macular ganglion cell complex(mGCC),and analyzing them.Using chi-square test to compare the differences of each parameters between the group of diseased eyes and the group of healthy eyes. Then using multiple linear regression to analyze the correlativity between each parameter and clinical manifestations, for those who have relevant relations,we use Spearman correlation test to analyze the degree of association between them. Results:In 67 patients,24 male and 43 female,28 patients(41.8%)occurred in winter,49 eyes(57.7%)with best corrected visual acuity under LogMAR1.7 at first.Patients with positive neuromyelitis optica(NMO)antibdy had a worse visual acuity than patients with positive myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antiboby.Compared with healthy eyes,in diseased eyes, the per-papillary retinal fiber layer(pRNFL)thickness were thicker;the cup-to-disk area ratio, vertical and horizontal ratio and cup volume were smaller;the rim area and disk area were increased(all P=0.000).Both the thickness of superior, inferior, and average macular ganglion cell layer(mGCL)and focal and global loss volume of macular ganglion cell complex(mGCC)had no significant differences between two groups in early phase(all P>0.05).The optic disc edema had a positive correlation with the thickness of pRNFL in injured eyes(r=0.728).Conclusion:The female has a tendency to ON.ON has a serious visual impairment at beginning and a poor visual prognosis in patients with positive NMO antibody.Due to optic disc edema,pRNFL increase, and the rim and disk area expand, accordingly, the cup volume and cup-to-disk ratio decrease. The lesion has not spread macula lutea in early stage.
