The Relationship Between Small Airway Function And Airway Hyperresponsiveness In Asthma Patients

Objective:To explore the relationship between small airway function and airway hyperresponsiveness in asthma patients.Methods:164 patients with suspected asthma were selected for pulmonary ventilation function test and bronchial provocation test?BPT?.According to the results of the bronchial provocation test,they were divided into AHR negative group?n=34?,mild group?n=53?,moderate group?n=43?,and severe group?n=34?.Collected clinical data,detected and compared the levels of FVC%pred,FEV₁%pred,FEV₁/FVC,PEF%pred,FEF25%pred,FEF50%pred,FEF75%pred,FEF25-75%pred.Accroding to the diagnostic criteria of small airway dysfunction,compared the incidence rate of small airway dysfunction in four group patients and anlysed the correlation between the patient's basic small airway function and airway hyperresponsiveness.The receiver operating characteristic curve?ROC?was used to analyze the value of small airway function indicators in predicting airway responsiveness.Results:1.From AHR negative group,mild group,moderate group to the severe group,the basic values of FVC%pred,FEV₁%pred,FEV₁/FVC,PEF%pred,FEF25%pred,FEF50%pred,FEF75%pred,FEF25-75%pred successively decreased,and the differences were statistically significant?P<0.05?.2.From AHR negative group,mild group,moderate group to severe group,the incidence of small airway dysfunction successively increased,and the differences were statistically significant?P<0.001?.3.The ROC curves were based on the basic FEF25%pred,FEF50%pred,FEF75%pred,and FEF25-75%pred,and the AUC were 80.0%,87.3%,83.3%,and87.9%,respectively,all of which were more than 80%,and the differences were statistically significant?P<0.001?.Conclusion:In the basic lung function tests for patients with suspected asthma,small airway function indicators are closely related to airway hyperresponsiveness.Compared with the airway,small airway function indicators can indicate airway hyperresponsiveness and reflect the severity of airway responsiveness to some extent,and has a certain predictive value for patients who have low or no airway response.
