| Objective: to evaluate vascular endothelial function in patients with chronic migraine with deficiency of qi and blood. Methods: in this study, chronic migraine patients with qi-blood deficiency were selected as experimental group and healthy subjects as control group.Headache remission period, headache attack period and healthy control group were all subjected to cold compression experiment.A total of 36 cases in the experimental group and 36 cases in the control group were observed.According to the data obtained, statistical processing was performed. Results: Compared with the control group(3/36),CM with deficiency of qi and blood had a higher probability of carotid artery contraction during headache remission(10/36).The incidence of carotid artery contraction was higher in the experimental group(18/36)than in the control group(3/36)(P < 0.05).In the experimental group, the incidence of carotid artery contraction in the acute headache stage(18/36)was higher than that in the remission stage(10/36)after the cold compression test(P < 0.05).The cold compression test of CM with deficiency of qi and blood during the headache onset showed that carotid artery contraction was related to the course of disease, and the probability of contraction was more than 30 years(18/18),more than 20 years(12/15),more than 10 years(16/25)(P=0.014 < 0.05).Less than 20 years of headache remission(3/21)was associated with a lower risk of carotid artery contraction than was more than 20 years of headache remission(7/15)(P=0.039 < 0.05).Conclusion:compared with healthy subjects, chronic migraine with deficiency of qi and blood presented obvious carotid artery contraction after cold compression test in remission phase. In the onset of headache,CM with deficiency of qi and blood is more obvious, indicating decreased vascular endothelial function in chronic migraine patients with deficiency of qi and blood. The mean age of patients presenting with carotid artery contraction after cold compression test of CM with deficiency of qi and blood was higher than that of patients presenting with carotid artery dilatation. The results of cold compression showed no difference in gender and headache area. There were statistically significant differences in age and course of disease. In the cold compression test of CM with deficiency of qi and blood in the headache remission stage, the incidence of carotid artery contraction was significantly higher than that of the patients with less than 20 years(7/15),and the incidence of carotid artery contraction was significantly higher than that of the patients with less than 20 years(3/21).There was no statistical significance in the other treatment groups, indicating that the incidence of carotid artery contraction was stable after the cold compression test at 20 years. |
