| Pulpotomy is a method of partial coronal pulpitis by removing infected pulp and preserving healthy pulp tissue.Diode laser is more and more attention in the application of pulpotomy because of its good hemostatic effect,antimicrobial ability and the ability of promoting wound healing.At present,many scholars have studied the application of diode laser in pulpotomy,but there is no consensus on its safety and effectiveness.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of dioder laser in pulpotomy through meta-analysis.ObjectiveTo systematically evaluate the efficacy of diode laser therapy for pulpotomy treatment of primary teeth.MethodsAn electronic search strategy was performed on PubMed,Cochrane Central Library,Embase,CNKI,VIP,CBM and Wanfang Data base until October 2018,to collect randomized controlled trials about diode laser therapy for pulpotomy treatment of primary teeth.Literature screening,data extraction and bias risk assessment were performed independently bytwo researchers on these trials.RevMan5.3 was applied for meta-analysis.ResultsNine studies were included and the meta analysis showed no significant differences in clinical and radiographic pulpotomy outcomes with diode laser compared with other conventional pulpotomy medicaments(P>0.05).Likewise,no differences were found in the outcomes at 3,6,or 12months(all P>0.05).ConclusionDiode laser therapy is effective as other conventional pulpotomy medicaments in the treatment for primary teeth pulpotomy. |
