| Objectives To invatigate the expression of Cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen-4(CTLA-4)and Forkhead transcription factor p3(FOXP3)in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nasal polyp tissues,and explore their correlation to clinical pathological features of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods The pathological specimens of 48 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients who received biopsy were collected from the department of Otolaryngology head and neck surgery in the Affiliated Hospital of North China University of Science and Technology between 2002 and 2018,which were selected to the experimental group.The same period pathological specimens of 42 nasal polyp patients who received surgical treatment were collected,which were selected to the control group.The expression of CTLA-4 and FOXP3 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nasal polyp were examined by immunohistochemical mehod.Results 1 In the experimental group,the positive expression of CTL-A4 and FOXP3 in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues was 75.0%,62.5%,respectively.In the control group,the positive expression of CTLA-4 and FOXP3 in the nasal polyp tissues was 33.3%,31.0%,respectively.The positive expression rate of CTLA-4 and FOXP3 in experimental group is higher than that of control group,the difference between the experimental and control group was significant(P<0.01).2 The positive expression rate of CTLA-4 and FOXP3 in stage ⅢandⅣnasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues is higher than that of stage ⅠandⅡ,the difference between the two groups is significant(P<0.05).The positive expression of CTLA-4 and FOXP3 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma with lymph node metastasis is higher than those without lymph node metastasis,the difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).3 The age,sex of the patient have no infulence on the expression of CTLA-4 and FOXP3 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues.Conclusions 1 CTLA-4 and FOXP3 were expressed in experimental and control groups,the difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.01).2 The expression of CTLA-4 and FOXP3 was associated to each other(P<0.01).3 The expression of CTLA-4and FOXP3 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma was correlated to the clinical stage and the lymph node metastasis.On the other hand,no significant difference were observed between the age,sex of the patient.Figure 8;Table 5;Reference 119... |
