| Objective: 1.To understand the current situation of health literacy and self-management behavior among patients with pneumoconiosis in Shenyang.2.To analyze the influencing factors of health literacy,self-management behavior and quality of life among patients with pneumoconiosis in Shenyang.3.To analyze the relationship between health literacy,self-management behavior and quality of life among patients with pneumoconiosis in Shenyang. Methods: He LMS,CDSMP and AQ20 were used to survey 262 patients with pneumoconiosis in the Shenyang No.9 Hospital.Data were analyzed with software SPSS 21.0.Descriptive analysis,independent-samples t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson analysis,Spearman analysis, unitary and multivariate linear regression analysis regression were used. Results: 1.We sent out the total of 262 questionnaires, and recovered 255 valid questionnaires.195 cases(76.5%)were men, while 60 cases(23.5%)were women, and 77.25% of pneumoconiosis patients did not have health literacy levels.2.The scores of the self-management behaviors of pneumoconiosis patients from high to low were: cognitive symptom management, communication with doctors, exercise, and the level of exercise was relatively low.3.Univariate analysis demonstrated effects of age, residence, personal income, provider payments, and duration of dust exposure on He LMS scores(P<0.05).Among them, age, living situation and personal income were the main factors.4.Patients with education level, occupation, marital status, personal income and smoking status showed statistically significant with scores on exercise(P<0.05),education level was the main factors.Age,health management, smoking status and drinking status in pneumoconiosis patients had a statistically significant difference in the cognitive symptom management domains(P<0.05).Age,health management and drinking status were the main factors.Patients with health management and knowledge of silicosis showed statistically significant with scores on communication with physician(P<0.05),knowledge of silicosis was the main factors.5.Pearson and Spearman correlation analysis results showed that a significant positive correlation existed between health literacy scores as an independent variable and the 3 dimensions of self-management scale(in the exercise, cognitive symptom management and communication with physician respectively).Improving health willingness,as a dimension of health literacy, had a significant positive correlation the quality of life.A significant positive correlation existed between QOL as an independent variable and exercise domain and communication with physician domain. Conclusions: 1.255 patients with pneumoconiosis in Shenyang No.9 Hospital,77.25% of pneumoconiosis patients did not have health literacy levels. The scores of each dimension of self-management behavior were compared, and the level of exercise was relatively low.2.The influencing factors of the health literacy of pneumoconiosis patients included age, average monthly income of the whole family and living style.Factors that influence self-management include: education level, age, whether to manage their own health, alcoholism and knowledge of pneumoconiosis. The main factor affecting the quality of life was the level of education. Therefore,we should strengthen the publicity of pneumoconiosis knowledge, improve patients’ life and living style, and increase economic income.3.Pearson and Spearman correlation analysis results showed that a significant positive correlation existed between health literacy scores as an independent variable and the 3 dimensions of self-management scale(in the exercise, cognitive symptom management and communication with physician respectively).Improving health willingness,as a dimension of health literacy, had a significant positive correlation the quality of life.A significant positive correlation existed between QOL as an independent variable and exercise domain and communication with physician domain. |
