Health is the foundation of life, health issues have always been the focus of attention, and the related factors that affect people's health have always been the focus of research. As a large health vulnerable group in China, the related factors affecting the health of the elderly are worth studying. From the previous studies, the researches in the field of non-biomedical science mainly focus on the influence of social and economic status, medical resource, social capital network on the health of the elderly, and separately examine the effects of income variables and occupational variables on health,Or study the impact of retirement behavior on the health of the elderly.Less research on pension income and its representative socioeconomic status and family economic status on the health of the elderly. Therefore, from this point of view, this article explores the influence of the olderly's pension form on their health. In the part of theoretical analysis, this paper mainly studies whether the pension has an effect on the health of the elderly from the two influence paths of socioeconomic status and the family economic status. As to the influence of socioeconomic status on people's health, from the theory of explaining the direction of causality between them(social causation and health selection),The social causality theory is chosen as the theoretical basis of this paper, that is to say, socioeconomic status affects people's health level, and the group with higher socioeconomic status is more likely to obtain some resources to ensure their own health, thus making their health level in a better state.Relatively speaking, socioeconomic status of the pension group is higher, which has a certain impact on their health;Regarding the mechanism of family economic status on the health of the elderly,it is believed that family,as a small unit, plays a more direct role in the health of the elderly. The family economic status of the elderly has an impact on their voice and autonomy in the family,In turn,it acts on health.According to the above inference, the research hypothesis of this paper is put forward, which lays a foundation for the empirical analysis below. In the part of empirical analysis, this paper selected data from the 2011 survey of the“Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey”(CLHLS).Taking the employees of the enterprises, institutions and other special departments who enjoy the retirement system as the main research object, and using regression of binary logistic model to estimate theeffect of retirement pension on the health of this part of the elderly.Specific research ideas are as follows: whether there is a retirement pension, pension and the proportion of pension to the average household income are selected as explanatory variables in this paper, and the self-rated health and mental health of the elderly were selected as explanatory variables. At the same time,we control demographic characteristics, systematic socioeconomic factors, social support and other variables in order to obtain more reliable regression results to verify the hypothesis of this study. In addition, the above three independent variables were analyzed by gender samples. The results of the econometric model are as follows: whether there is a pension has a positive effect on the mental health of the elderly, but it has no significant effect on the self-assessment health.Pension as the basic "retirement income" of the elderly, with the pension, the elderly will have a better expectation of their life after retirement, and then have an impact on the mental health of the elderly,And the impact on women is greater than that on men;The effect of pension income on the mental health of the elderly is very significant, but not on the self-rated health of the elderly. With the increase of pension income, the mental health evaluation of the elderly is better,And the effect on men is greater than that on women;Pension accounts for the proportion of the average monthly income of the family has different effects on the elderly's self-rated health and mental health.which to some extent represents the economic status of the elderly within the family. The larger the proportion of retirement pension, the higher the economic status of the elderly family, the smaller the possibility of increasing the family's economic burden. The elderly may also contribute to the family economy, thus maintaining a good mentality. And then affect the health of the elderly,And the effect on men is greater than that on women.According to the above conclusions,we can also get some enlightenment from them: First, the research results are in line with China's current policy of delayed retirement. At present,China's statutory retirement age is lower than that of developed countries as a whole.Delayed retirement can not only alleviate the financial burden of the state, but also better enable the elderly to continue to play a role in their posts and get more income. The second is to advocate a positive and healthy lifestyle, which should start with a healthy diet,a healthy rest, and maintain a positive and upward attitude,so as to be conducive to the development of physical and mental health.
