A Clinical Study On The Effect Of Salvia Miltiorrhiza On Breast Augmentation With Autologous Fat Grafting

Objective: Breast is an important organ that embodies female beauty.The use of local accumulational fat for transplantation of breast augmentation can achieve the dual effect of body plasticity,making it a better way for breast augmentation.However,fat transplantation has a high tissue absorption rate,how to improve the percentage volume maintenance of transplanted fat has been a clinical difficulty for surgeons.According to this,we intend a clinical study on the effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza on breast augmentation with autologous fat grafting and provide the basis for clinical application.Methods:From April 2015 to September 2016,24 patients(46 breasts)received autologous fat grafting assisted with Salvia miltiorrhiza for breast augmentation and 5 patients(10 breasts)received the breast augmentation without Salvia miltiorrhiza were included for this research.The percentage volume maintenance after the fat graft were calculated using three-dimensional photography.The t test was performed to compare the results of different groups divided according to the use of Salvia miltiorrhiza,ages(<30y and ≥30y),history of breastfeeding,Body Mass Index(<21 and ≥21)and donor site(abdomen and thigh area).Results : The mean percentage volume maintenance of control group was 0.27±0.10,while the overall mean percentage volume maintenance of Salvia miltiorrhiza group was 0.46±0.15.The percentage volume maintenance of the group with Salvia miltiorrhiza was significanitly increased(P<0.01).Also,the maintenance of group with high BMI(≥21)was significanitly increased compared to low BMI(<21),there was no obvious difference of percentage volume maintenance between different age,history of breastfeeding and donor site.Conclusion:The application of Salvia miltiorrhiza can significant improve the percentage volume maintenance of breast augmention with autologous fat.Also,higher BMI can improve the maintenance of fat grafting.
