Objects: To explore the correlation between lower limb artery calcification score and postoperative restenosis after balloon dilatation of femoropopliteal artery, and to evaluate its efficacy in predicting postoperative restenosis. Methods: Retrospectively collected 90 patients diagnosed with lower limb arteriosclerosis obliteration and treated with balloon dilatation of femoropopliteal artery in the interventional ward of our hospital from May 2016 to July 2018.The patients were divided into the restenosis group(n=33)and the non-restenosis group(n=57),and record the baseline data including age, gender, coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, smoking history, etc.Independent sample t-test,chi-square test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to determine the risk factors related to restenosis. Results: In univariate regression, the restenosis patients had significant higher values of Total calcification score(P=0.004),femoropopliteal artery calcification score(P=0.041),inferior knee artery calcification score(P=0.036),and the proportion of patients with diabetes(P=0.013)than non-restenosis patients.Multivariate analysis showed that total calcification score(OR=12.718,P=0.045)and diabetes(OR=4.125,P=0.007)were independent risk factors for restenosis.According to the results of ROC curve, the best cut-off value of total calcification integral in the lower limb artery for predicting postoperative restenosis is 4.01,and the area under curve is 0.661,the sensitivity and specificity were 51.5% and 77.2%.Conclusions: Lower extremity vascular calcification and diabetes are independent risk factors for restenosis after balloon dilatation of femoropopliteal artery. The application of lower extremity artery calcification score can predict postoperative restenosis.
