Objective: To explore the perioperative efficacy and safety of transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate(TUPKP)as compared to transurethral resection of prostate(TURP),as well as the perioperative advantages and features of TUPKP.Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 50 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia who received the surgical treatment of TUPKP and TURP in our hospital during the period from December 2017 to October 2018 。 Comparative analysis was performed on intraoperative blood loss, duration of surgery, postoperative bladder irrigation time, postoperative urinary catheter indwelling time,as well as the perioperative complications including postoperative urinary incontinence, transurethral resection syndrome(TURS),rupture of prostatic capsule, postoperative hemorrhage, and postoperative ladder spasm, etc. Results: Compared to the TURP group, there were less intraoperative blood loss, shorter postoperative bladder irrigation time, shorter postoperative urinary catheter indwelling time, and lower risk of intraoperative and postoperative complications in the TUPKP group, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.05);however there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in duration of surgery(P>0.05).Conclusion: Compared to the classic TURP,TUPKP has better safety profile, with significant superiority in postoperative hemostasis, reducing intraoperative and postoperative complications, and in shortening postoperative bladder irrigation time and urinary catheter indwelling time, indicating its greater value for further application. |
