Objective: To measure the permanent teeth early Angle class Ⅱ patients on sagittal to the size of the airways and the hyoid sagittal to the vertical position,understand the population airway clearance on the structure and the soft palate hyoid developmental characteristics of the location.Method: Choose 125 cases of early Angle are permanent teeth in patients with type Ⅱ,according to the GoGn-SN size patient samples can be divided into two types,high Angle: GoGn-SN > 37.7;Mean Angle :27.3≤ GoGn-SN ≤37.7,among them,63 are high Angle and 62 are mean Angle.All the patients were taken lateral cranial radiographs before receiving orthodontic treatment to measure relevant indicators of upper airway and surrounding soft tissue and hyoid bone position,which were recorded into SPSS20.0 statistical software for statistical analysis by independent sample t test.Results: After comparing the sagittal diameter of the upper airway between men and women in the high-angle group,there was a statistical difference between PNS-S、PNS-Aa、Sp1-Sp2、ve1-ve2、p1-p2、p1-PNS-ANS、pasl-pas2、ph1-ph2.Group of high angle between men and women found statistical differences after comparing hyoid position,AH-Ge、AH-Or、AH-FH、AH-Me、AH-NP、CV3ai-Me、AH-SN、AH-PP;The sagittal diameter of the upper airway was compared between men and women in the mean angle group.The position of hyoid bone between men and women in the mean angle group was compared,and no statistical difference was found.The sagittal width of the upper airway was compared between the high-angle group and the mean-angle group,and a statistical difference was found in the PNS-ad1、p1-p2、ve1-ve2.The hyoid position was compared between the high-angle group and the mean-angle group,and statistical difference was found in AH-Or、AH-Ge、AH-Me、AH-NP、AH-FH.Conclusion: The height and length of nasopharyngeal bone in male patients with high angle are greater than that of female patients,the soft palate is larger and more background than that of female patients,the sagittal width of nasopharynx and glossopharynx is smaller than that of female patients,the hyoid bone of male patients with high angle is more forward and lower than that of female patients.The nasopharyngeal bone structure and palatopharyngeal space were smaller in high angle patients.When the orbital point of the skull anatomical mark was used as the benchmark,the hyoid bone position of the high angle patients was more posterior than that of mean angle patients.When the anatomical mark of lower jaw was used as the benchmark,the hyoid bone position of the high angle patients was more anterior,and the hyoid bone position of the high angle patients was lower than that of the mean angle patients.
