| Objective: Patients with allergic rhinitis were studied in a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture of pterygopalatine ganglion combined with moxibustion and the antihistamine drug desloratadine citrate in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. To compare the difference of curative effect between the two,and to provide scientific basis for a new method to treat the disease. Methods: Seventy-two patients with allergic rhinitis were divided into the treatment group 、 control group. The former group give acupuncture of pterygopalatine ganglion combined with moxibustion, and the control group was treated with the antihistamine drug desloratadine cirate.By observing the clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients and visual analogue scale(VAS),serum specific IgE detection and other indicators,to explore the good clinical efficacy of acupuncture pterygopalatine ganglion combined with moxibustion in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. Results: Scores for VAS,The VAS scores of the treatment group and the control group were lower after treatment than before treatment. There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).In terms of comparison between the two groups,VAS score in the treatment group was obvious lower after treatment, and has obvious difference. In terms of serum specific IgE antibody detection, there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group before treatment(P>,0.05),and there has obvious difference between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: Acupuncture of pterygopalatine ganglion improved the overall nasal symptoms of patients with allergic rhinitis significantly after treatment compared with before treatment, and combined with moxibustion was significantly better than oral loratadine tablets in improving the single symptoms of nasal obstruction and sneezing.Acupuncture of pterygopalatine ganglion in the treatment of allergic rhinitis is simple, direct and effective.Combined with the method of suspension moxibustion, the best curative effect of allergic rhinitis can be achieved. |
