Objective: This study was to intervene patients with unstable angina pectoris and stasis of coronary heart disease through acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine, and to observe the efficacy, and to verify that acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can improve the clinical efficacy, improve the quality of patients’ life, and reduce the recurrence rate. Methods: In this study,72 patients were selected, whose diagnosis of western medicine conforms to the unstable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease, and the TCM syndrome differentiation accords with the pattern of phlegm and blood stasis. They were divided into two groups with the random grouping, each group included 36 paients on average. The control group took western medicine to treat, and the test group eat the same western medicine as the control group, and took the traditional Chinese medicine of "Sanjie Tongmai" and did the acupuncture. As a period for 4 weeks of treatment, the score of TCM symptom,Seattle scale,SF-12 scale, the efficacy of angina pectoris, nitroglycerin withdrawal rate, and the efficacy of electrocardiogram were observed, and as a period for 4weeks of following, the results of sought were tested and anlyzed through using SPSS software. The clinical differences and safety were compared in the two treatments. Results: In this project, there were 72 patients enrolled totally.Actually, there were 70 patients participating in the clinical trial. The control group lost 2 patients due to their own reasons, that Clinical outcomes were not infiuenced.1.Before treatment, the general information could be contrasted in the two groups, after examination,P>0.05,it was suggested that the clinical trial could be prompted.2.The efficacy of TCM symptom: The total effective rates of the test group and the control group were 88.89% and 64.71%,the D-value was 24.18%,by rank sum test,P<0.05,there was difference distinctly. This indicated that the effect of the test group was better.3.The quality of patients’ life: Analysis from 5 dimensions of Seattle Angina Scale after treatment, the comparison between the two groups was less than 0.05,the difference is more obvious.Comparison of SF-12 GH,PF,RP,RE,BP,MH,VT,SF 8 dimensions after treatment,P was less than 0.05,there are obvious differences. It shows that the test group can significantly improve the quality of life of patients.4.The efficacy of angina pectoris: The total effective rates of the test group and the control group were 75.00% and 52.94% in the efficacy of angina pectoris, the D-value was22.06%,by test,P<0.05,the difference of the two groups’ efficacy was large. It showed that the test group can significantly improve the patients’ angina symptoms.5.Nitroglycerin cessation rate: The total 30 patients in the test group stopped taking and decreased nitroglycerin, the total effective rate was 83.33%.The total 20 patients in the control group stopped taking and reduced nitroglycerin, the total effective rate was 58.82%,it was P<0.05 by examing, there was evident discrepancy of efficacy between the two groups, the curative effect was better in the test group.6.The efficacy of ECG: There were 6 patients with best effective and 16 patients with better effective in the test group, the turnaround rate was 61.11%.There were 4 patients with best effective and 13 patients with better effective in the control group, the turnaround rate was 50.00%.It was P > 0.05 by rank sum test, there was not evident difference. However, compared according to the improvement rate, the results of test group was better.7.Follow-up: No life-threatening cardiovascular events occurred in both groups within24 weeks. The recurrence rate of angina pectoris in the test group was 5.56%.The recurrence rate of angina pectoris was 11.76% in the control group, indicating that the combination of acupuncture and medicine can reduce the recurrence rate of angina pectoris.8.Safety indicators: During the treatment, there was no organic damage of patients in the two groups. Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with phlegm-stasis-associated coronary heart disease unstable angina pectoris can significantly improve patients’ symptoms of TCM,reduce the time of angina pectoris attacks, improve clinical symptoms, and reduce therecurrence rate of angina pectoris, and provide a new Chinese medicine treatment and promote the development of Chinese medicine.
