| Objective: To investigate the effect of Yiqi Huoxue Decoction on blood pressure variability by observing the clinical effect of Yiqi Huoxue Decoction on senile hypertension of qi deficiency and blood stasis type.Methods:Sixty-five elderly hypertensive patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis that meet the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,with 33 cases in the former and32 cases in the latter.All patients received the same basic treatment.In addition,the treatment group was treated with Yiqi Huoxue Decoction and amlodipine besylate tablets,while the control group was only treated with amlodipine besylate tablets.The course of treatment was 4 weeks.The changes of blood pressure level,blood pressure variability index and TCM(traditional Chinese medicine)syndromes before and after treatment were observed.Results: The symptoms of the two groups were improved after treatment,and the symptoms of the treatment group were significantly improved compared with those of the control group(p < 0.05).After treatment,the curative effects of TCM syndromes in the two groups were significantly different(P<0.05).the total effective rate in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.After treatment,24 h SBP,24 h DBP,d SBP and d DBP in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(p < 0.05),while n SBP and n DBP had no significant difference.After treatment,24-hour SSD,24-hour DSD,d SSD and d DSD in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05),while n SSD and n DSD had no significant difference.Conclusion: Yiqi Huoxue Decoction combined with amlodipine besylate tablets can further improve the related clinical symptoms of elderly hypertensive patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis,reduce blood pressure fluctuation,reduce blood pressure variability and contribute to stable blood pressure reduction. |
