Myasthenia gravis(MG)is a rare chronic disease.Long-term illness experience le ads to the dual challenges of both physical and psychological aspects for MG patient s,which further leads to the problem of social support for patients.Physiologically,st udies have shown that patients’ daily actions will decline with the continuous develop ment of myasthenia gravis patients’ condition.And with the decline of physical functi on,the effectiveness of drugs for patients’ symptoms has also been challenged.Psycho logically,myasthenia gravis(MG)is a disease that can recur many times.During the r elapse period,patients may experience sudden inability to walk,limb weakness and other symptoms.Since illness,Patients will lose their sense of security to health,Thei r subjective feeling will be abnormality and very prone to abnormalities.Illness will al so make patients become more sensitive,pay great attention to other people’s evaluati on of themselves.Anxiety and depression are common in patients with myasthenia gr avis.In this study,patients in the ward were interviewed structurally in the early stag e and followed by the attending doctor for ward rounds.Guided by the theory of empo werment,and based on the value of people-oriented and self-help in social work,a gro up project was designed to meet the patients’ current needs.Four group activities wer e carried out,mainly focusing on self-awareness,disease knowledge acquisition,self management and participation in decision-making.Through three months of researc h,the researchers concluded that the intervention of group work method has obvious e ffect on patients with myasthenia gravis,and the situation has changed in four plates.After the group project,a comprehensive evaluation is carried out from the process,ef fectiveness and medical staff,and analysis is made on the advantages and disadvantag es of this group interaction.Researchers hope that by concluding,summarizing and re commending the pre-investigation,scheme design and evaluation methods of this gro up,they can help medical social workers to provide more practical experience in serving patients with myasthenia gravis in the future.
