Objective:To evaluate the short-term curative efficacy of two surgical treatment of single seg-ment degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis(L4/5 or L5/S1):Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy using Uless technique and Decompression and posterior lumbar interbody fusion. Methods:Retrospectively analyzed 128 cases with two surgical treatment in our hospital from2014.08 to 2016.07,57 cases in Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy using Uless technique group(A grope),the other 71 cases in Decompression and posterior lumbar interbody fusion(B grope),.Record the data of two groups, including gender, age, disease duration, length of incision, operation time, amount of bleeding, postoperative complica-tions,postoperative hospital stay, hospitalization expenses,et al.Two groups of patients were assessed with VAS scores and ODI scores for five times, before surgery,1 day after surgery,3 month after surgery,6 month after surgery,1 year after surgery. The surgery efficacy of two groups can be judge with the low back pain surgery scoring criteria which is formulated by Chinese Academy of Orthopaedic spine group. The above results all be statistically analyzed. Results:There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of sex,age and course of disease(p>0.05);The A group was significantly superior to B group in the length of incision, operation time, blood volume, postoperative hospitalization time, hospitalization expenses and the first day of postoperative VAS score. The difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).The VAS scores and ODI scores in both groups(preopera-tive,3 months after surgery,6 months after surgery and 1 year after surgery)showed no significant difference and no statistically significance(p>0.05);one case of blue urine and urinary dysfunction, one case of recurrence(one year postoperation)occurred after surgery in A grope;two cases of urinary infection, once case of screw broken, one case of phlebo-thrombosis occurred in B grope. In the last follow-up,89.5%good rate in A grope and85.9%in B grope,x~2 is 0.36,there was no statistically significant difference(p>0.5).Conclusions:The recent effects of Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discecto-my using Uless technique and posterior lumbar interbody fusion in treatment of dege-nerative lumbar spinal stenosis are similar,But the Uless technique has the advantages of small operation, short operation time, less bleeding, quickly recovery and less hospitalization expenses,et al.However, the technical level of equipment and doctor is higher, the treatment of multiple segmental stenosis and sever lumbar spine instability has limitations, and it is accompanied by complications such as recurrence. The clinical effect of the two kinds of surgery needs to be further studied.
