| Objective:To explore the correlation between knee osteoarthritis and bone marrow lesions and Hoffa’s fat pad edema, and to provide scientific basis for the study of osteoarthritis. Methods: From July 2019 to December 2019,127 patients who received knee X-ray and knee MRI in the first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang medical university were selected and the imaging data were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were grouped according to the Kellgren&Lawrence(k-l)classification and tibial femoral Angle on the X-ray,Group A: k-l grade 0 group;Group B: K-L class Ⅰ group;Group C: K-L class Ⅱ group;Group D: K-L class Ⅲ group;Group E: K-L class Ⅳ group;Group F: K-L class Ⅳ merger knee varus group. The site and degree of bone marrow lesions were evaluated on MRI,and the Hoffa’s fat pad was edema or not.If there was edema, the edema volume was measured to study the correlation between knee osteoarthritis and Hoffa’s fat pad edema and bone marrow edema. Results: The analysis of the relationship between bone marrow lesions and the degree of bone marrow edema and knee arthritis showed that there was a correlation between bone marrow lesions and knee arthritis(P<0.001).The degree of bone marrow lesions in group F was more severe than that in other groups, and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P< 0.001).The correlation analysis between the Hoffa’s fat pad edema and knee osteoarthritis showed that there was no correlation between the two(P> 0.05).The analysis of the correlation between the bone marrow lesions and the bone marrow edema site and the Hoffa’s fat pad edema showed that there was a correlation between the bone marrow lesions and the Hoffa’s fat pad edema P< 0.05),but there was no significant difference between the bone marrow lesions site and the Hoffa’s fat pad edema(P>0.05).The results showed that the volume of Hoffa’s pad edema in group A was significantly smaller than that in group D and group E,and there was no significant difference between the other groups. Conclusion:There was a correlation between bone marrow edema and knee osteoarthritis. The degree of bone marrow edema was higher in patients with knee varus. There was a correlation between the bone marrow lesions and the Hoffa’s fat pad edema, but there was no correlation between the Hoffa’s fat pad edema and the bone marrow edema sites. |
