On The Metaphor In The Traditional Chinese Medicine Of The Complete Poetry Of The Tang Dynasty And Culture

Tang poetry is a treasure of Chinese culture and a glittering treasure on the Chinese literature.As a collection of Tang poetry,the Complete Poetry of the Tang Dynasty has an unprecedented and unsurpassed high status.Based on the theories of Metaphor,which is the foundation of cognitive metaphor theory,this study adopts the methods of literature analysis,Metaphor Analysis and comprehensive research,based on the statistics of the occurrence times of most of the botanical medicine names in the Complete Poetry of the Tang Dynasty which compiled by the Chung Hwa Book Company,and the metaphorical analysis of the large number of drug names with metaphorical meaning combined with the specific poems,this paper makes a comparative study of the plant medicine names in the Complete Poetry of the Tang Dynasty and also the plant drug names in it,and try to understand the Tang dynasty culture behind the background of the poets.This study is divided into three parts: the statistical analysis of the plant images of traditional Chinese medicine in it,the analysis of the plant images of representative traditional Chinese medicine and the analysis of the cultural factors behind the metaphorical formation of the important drug images in the poems of representative poets.
